Okay, so I’ve been on a real 2010s hip-hop kick lately. I got this itch to put together a playlist of the best tracks from back then. It was like trying to catch lightning in a bottle, you know? So many bangers, so many different styles.

First off, I started digging through my old playlists and albums. I was pulling out tracks I hadn’t heard in ages. It was a real trip down memory lane. I jotted down a bunch of artists and song titles on a notepad, just a massive list to start with.
Then came the hard part – narrowing it down. I mean, we’re talking about a whole decade of music! I decided to make some rules for myself. Like, only one or two tracks per artist, just to keep things diverse. And I wanted a good mix of the big hits and some of those underground gems that maybe not everyone knows about.
I started building the playlist on my music app, adding songs, and listening through them. Some tracks I thought were fire back in the day just didn’t hit the same way anymore. Taste changes, right? But others, man, they still slapped just as hard. I’m talking about tracks like “Ooouuu” by Young M.A, Future’s “Codeine Crazy,” and Chief Keef’s “I Don’t Like.” Those are some serious classics.
- “Ooouuu” by Young M.A
- “Codeine Crazy” by Future
- “I Don’t Like” by Chief Keef
After hours of listening, rearranging, and cutting tracks, I finally had something I was proud of. I ended up with about 50 songs on the final list. It was tough, like choosing your favorite kid or something. But I think I managed to capture the vibe of 2010s hip-hop pretty well.
My Top 3 Picks of the 2010s
At last, I made my top 3 list. I think these tracks can represent the soul of 2010s hip hop music.

- So Fresh, So Clean Outkast
- King Kunta
- KANYE WEST – 10 – HELL OF A LIFE
This whole process got me thinking about how much hip-hop evolved in the 2010s. It went from the club bangers to the trap sound, and then all these subgenres started popping up. It was a wild time for music, and this playlist is my little tribute to that era.
So yeah, that’s my story of putting together a 2010s hip-hop playlist. It was a lot of work, but totally worth it. Now I’ve got the perfect soundtrack for cruising around, working out, or just chilling. If you’re a fan of 2010s hip-hop, you should definitely give this playlist a listen. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.
