Alright, so let me tell you about this whole Valentine’s Day SB Dunks thing I got into. I saw some buzz online about these sneakers, and let me tell you, the pictures were really something else.

I started digging around at the beginning of July. You know, just browsing, seeing what the deal was. Apparently, these special edition Dunks were coming out for Valentine’s Day 2024. And man, they were all decked out in reds and pinks, with little hearts and stuff. Looked kinda cheesy, but also kinda cool, you know?
First Steps
- Scouring the Internet: First thing I did was hit up all the usual sneaker sites. I wanted to see if I could find more info, more pics, release dates, all that jazz.
Diving Deeper
So, after getting a feel for what these Dunks were all about, I decided I kinda wanted a pair. They seemed pretty unique, and I figured they might be a fun addition to my collection. The designs were loud, I gotta admit that.
- Checking Resale Sites: This was more out of curiosity. I wanted to see if anyone was already trying to flip them for crazy prices. And yeah, some people were, but not as bad as I’d expected.
- Reading Reviews: I found some early reviews from folks who got their hands on them. Most people seemed to like them, saying they were comfortable and the quality was good. There’s always a lot of chatter with these limited releases.
The Decision
After weighing it all up, I decided to go for it. It was a bit of a splurge, but hey, it’s Valentine’s Day, right? So the plan is to try and snag a pair when they officially drop. It’s always a bit of a gamble with these limited releases, but I’m feeling optimistic. I figured, why not treat myself? I have enough pairs of boring old black and white shoes.
Getting Ready
- Setting Reminders: I made sure to set reminders on my phone for the release date and time. I didn’t want to miss out because I forgot.
- Creating Accounts: I made accounts on all the websites that were supposed to be selling them. Just to be prepared and save time during the checkout process.
The Big Day
The release day finally arrived, and boy, was it a mess. Websites were crashing, stock was disappearing in seconds, it was pure chaos. But somehow, after a lot of refreshing and a bit of luck, I managed to secure a pair! It was a rush, let me tell you.
Success!
A few weeks later, the shoes arrived, and I gotta say, I’m pretty happy with them. They’re definitely a statement piece, and they’re surprisingly comfortable. I’ve worn them out a few times, and they always get a lot of attention. I don’t usually like to be too flashy, but these are fun.

- Unboxing: The unboxing experience was pretty standard. Nice box, the shoes were wrapped in tissue paper, nothing too fancy.
- Trying Them On: They fit true to size, which was a relief. And like I said, they’re actually pretty comfy.
Overall, it was a fun little adventure getting these Valentine’s Day Dunks. Would I do it again? Maybe. It’s definitely not something I’d do for every release, but for something special like this, it was worth it. And really, that is what is most important to me.
