Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another one of my little experiments. Today, I’m diving into something I’ve been messing around with for a while: “Wonders 2024.” Sounds fancy, right? Well, it’s more like a bunch of trial and error until I hit something that works.

So, first off, I started by just playing the game. I mean, that’s how you figure things out, you know? You gotta get in there and see what’s what. The game’s all about turns. Each unit I moved had these things called “movement points.” I found out pretty quick that these points were based on their speed, and once they were gone, that was it for the turn. You’re stuck there like a sitting duck.
I spent a few days just moving my units around, getting a feel for how far they could go and how to plan my moves better. It’s like chess but with more steps and way more variables. One turn, one day of my time. You research, you build, you move. It’s a whole cycle.
Then I got into the fighting. Oh boy, the fighting. This is where you can really mess up or totally dominate. I tried different strategies, some worked, some… not so much. But that’s the fun part, right? Figuring out the best way to crush your enemies. It’s all about conquering or razing cities, basically being the last one standing when all the dust settles.
I also tinkered with some “cheaty” ways to get ahead. I won’t go into too much detail, but let’s just say I found a way to give myself a bunch of points and unlock everything. It felt a bit like breaking the game, but hey, it was an experiment!
My Main Strategies
- Movement Management: I really focused on how to use those movement points wisely. Early on, I’d send units out too far and they’d be useless for the rest of the turn. I learned to keep them closer and plan my routes better.
- Combat Tactics: I started off just throwing everything at the enemy, but then I realized it was smarter to target specific units and cities. Taking out key locations first made a huge difference.
- Resource Gathering: I made sure to keep an eye on my resources. Running out of something important in the middle of a battle is a real pain.
Honestly, there were a lot of late nights and a lot of “What the heck am I doing?” moments. But gradually, I started to see patterns, started to understand the game better.

After a couple of weeks, I felt like I had a decent handle on things. I could predict what the enemy might do, I could plan my turns more efficiently, and I was winning more often than not. It felt good, you know? Like I’d actually accomplished something.
So, that’s my “Wonders 2024” journey so far. It’s been a wild ride of ups and downs, wins and losses, and a whole lot of learning. And hey, if I can figure this stuff out, anyone can. Just gotta keep at it, keep experimenting, and most importantly, have fun with it. That’s what it’s all about, right? Until next time, peace out!
