Alright, guys, so I’ve been digging into the whole Brigitte Bardot 70s vibe lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a trip! I wanted to share my little adventure with y’all and how I went about trying to capture some of that magic.

First off, I started by looking up a ton of pictures and articles about her style from that era. I mean, the internet is full of this stuff. It’s really important to feel this vibe. I mean we gotta know what we’re doing, right? Her fashion sense was just so unique, mixing that effortless beauty with a touch of rebel. And man, those photos – they just took me back!
Then, I started experimenting with my own wardrobe. I tried to find pieces that matched the kind of stuff she wore. Think flowy dresses, off-the-shoulder tops, and maybe even a floppy hat or two. It’s about getting creative with what you’ve got, you know? I even hit up some vintage stores – total goldmines for this kind of thing!
Here are some things I tried to get a similar look:
- Finding similar outfits. I looked for those flowy, bohemian-style dresses and tops.
- Trying to get that voluminous hair. I experimented with some teasing and maybe a little bit of backcombing, but nothing too crazy.
- Matching the look with minimal makeup, just like she did.
It was a process, not gonna lie. Some outfits looked great, others… well, let’s just say they were learning experiences, haha! But it was all about having fun and trying new things.
Next, I focused on her hair and makeup. Bardot’s hair was iconic – that messy, voluminous look. I watched a bunch of tutorials online and tried to recreate it. Let’s just say my bathroom looked like a hair salon exploded in there! The makeup was easier – pretty natural and simple, which is totally my style anyway.

Finally, I put it all together. I picked a few outfits that I felt really captured the Bardot spirit and did a little photoshoot. It was so much fun, and I felt like I kinda got a glimpse into what made her style so timeless. I posted some pics on my social media, and people seemed to dig it! That’s nice.
What I learned
I have to say that this experiment really showed me how style can be such a cool way to connect with different eras and icons. I realized that trying to emulate Brigitte Bardot’s 70s style is not just about clothes, hair and make-up but about that attitude – confident, free, and a little bit wild. I hope this helps you with your own style experiments. Go for it, guys! Peace out!
