Salamander from Monsters Inc? Let’s Talk About That!
You know, that movie, Monsters, Inc., it got all sorts of critters in it. Some furry, some scaly, some with one eye, some with a bunch. But there’s this one fella, always sneakin’ around, changin’ colors like a sneaky snake in the grass. Folks get confused, they do. They think he’s a salamander, but lemme tell ya, that ain’t quite right.
This sneaky character, his name’s Randall Boggs. Yeah, Randall Boggs. He’s more like a lizard, a chameleon kinda thing. Can change his colors to blend in, disappear right in front of your eyes. He works at Monsters, Inc., scarin’ kids to get their screams for power. That’s how things work in that monster world, ya see. They need them screams.
Now, Randall, he ain’t a good fella. Always causin’ trouble for Sully and Mike, the main guys in the movie. He’s jealous, wants to be the best scarer, even if it means cheatin’ and bein’ mean. He went to Monsters University too, learned all about scarin’ there. But he took a bad turn, that one did.
- Randall’s appearance: He looks like a lizard, a bit like a chameleon. He can change colors, purple and blue mostly.
- Randall’s job: He’s a scarer at Monsters, Inc. That means he goes into kids’ rooms at night to scare them and collect their screams.
- Randall’s personality: He’s sneaky, jealous, and ambitious. He wants to be the best, no matter what it takes. Not a nice bone in his body, that one.
Some folks, they get Randall mixed up with another monster, a real salamander this time. His name’s George Sanderson, or Georgie, as his friends call him. He’s a green fella, gets into trouble too, mostly ’cause he keeps gettin’ “code 2319’d,” which means somethin’ from the kid’s room sticks to him. It’s kinda funny, actually. He’s not a main character like Randall, but he’s there, part of the Monsters, Inc. gang.

So, to set things straight, Randall ain’t no salamander. He’s a lizardy, chameleon type. George Sanderson, that’s your salamander. Easy to get ’em mixed up, I guess, with all those crazy-lookin’ monsters runnin’ around.
Them movies, they make ya think, don’t they? About bein’ good, bein’ bad, and what it means to be a friend. Sully and Mike, they always stick together, even when things get tough. Randall, he’s all alone, cause he chose the wrong path. Makes ya think about who you wanna be, ya know?
Monsters, Inc. is a good movie, even if it’s got some scary parts. It teaches ya that bein’ kind and honest is important. And it shows ya that even monsters can have big hearts. Well, most of ’em, anyways. Randall, he’s a different story, always plottin’ and schemin’. He learns his lesson in the end, though, I reckon.
So next time you watch Monsters, Inc., remember the difference. Randall, the sneaky lizard guy, and George, the poor salamander who keeps gettin’ “code 2319’d.” It’s important to get your monsters straight, ya know! It’s like knowing the difference between a chicken and a duck, simple as that.
And that’s about all I gotta say about them monsters. They’re a funny bunch, that’s for sure. But they got lessons to teach us, even if they are just cartoons. Just remember, be kind, be honest, and don’t go sneakin’ around like Randall Boggs. You’ll be alright then.

One more thing, this movie, Monsters University, it tells you how Sully and Mike met and how Randall became such a mean fella. It’s worth a watch if you wanna know more about these monsters. It shows them when they were young and full of dreams. But like I said, Randall chose the wrong path, and that’s the truth of it.
Alright, I’m done talkin’ about monsters now. My throat’s gettin’ dry. Go watch the movie, you’ll see what I mean. And remember, Randall’s a lizard, George is the salamander. Got it? Good. Now go on, git!
