Okay, so, the other day I was messing around with this watch, the Rolex 126710BLRO, right? I’d been seeing it pop up everywhere, and honestly, I was curious. You know, it’s the “Pepsi” one, blue and red bezel – pretty flashy. I got my hands on one, and let me tell you, the hype is real. But it wasn’t a straight path, let me walk you through it.

First off, getting one was a pain. I heard the waitlists were crazy, like one to two years or something. But I got lucky and found one after waiting around six months. I don’t even know what happened, I went to the local dealer and bam, they had one in stock. Maybe someone cancelled, I don’t know. But, anyway, there it was.
When I finally got it, the first thing I did was compare it to my old GMT, the 16710. Man, the differences are obvious. The ceramic bezel on the 126710BLRO is way different from the aluminum one on the 16710. It’s like, shinier and feels tougher, you know? And the 126710BLRO is bulkier – wider lugs and crown guards. It definitely has more wrist presence, that’s for sure.
Then there’s the dial. The new one has that “maxi dial” with bigger hands and numbers. I noticed it immediately. It’s easier to read, but it also makes the watch look, I don’t know, more modern? I guess that’s the word. And the solid end links feel more secure than the hollow ones on my old watch.
- I started by looking for the watch.
- Then, I went to multiple dealers and found out about the waitlist.
- Eventually, I got lucky and found one in stock.
- After receiving the watch, I compared it to my old 16710.
- I noticed the differences in the bezel, lugs, crown guards, dial, and end links.
- Finally, I wore it around to see how it felt.
I wore the 126710BLRO for a few days, just to get a feel for it. It’s definitely a different beast than the Submariner. It’s got that extra GMT hand, which is cool, and the date wheel. It feels busier on the wrist, but in a good way. Like, it’s got more going on, more to look at. I was initially hesitant about the color, but it grew on me.
It’s A Keeper
So, yeah, that was my experience with the Rolex 126710BLRO. It wasn’t a straightforward thing, took some time, but it was worth it. It’s a cool watch, a little flashy, but in a way that I like. I think it’s a keeper, at least for now. If you get a chance to grab one, you should check it out, it’s a pretty fun watch. It’s a little crazy to get one, but you might get lucky.
