Okay, so I’ve been meaning to test out this whole “water-resistant Rolex” thing for a while now. I mean, they say these watches can handle some serious water, but I wanted to see it for myself. So, I grabbed my Submariner – you know, the one they claim can go down to like 300 meters – and decided to put it to the test.
First, I just wore it in the shower. Figured that was a good starting point, right? I did my regular shower stuff, shampoo, soap, the whole nine yards. Watch kept ticking, no problem. Felt good.

Next, I took it to the sink. Filled it up, dropped the watch in, and let it sit for a while. I was doing dishes, cleaning up, and the Rolex was just chilling underwater. Pulled it out after maybe 20 minutes, still working perfectly. I thought to myself “Ok, Rolex, we’re good”.

Then came the pool. I wore it while swimming laps, diving down to the bottom, you know, really pushing it. I was in there for a good hour, at least. And guess what? The Submariner didn’t even flinch. It was like it was made for this, the Rolex documentation says “Water is the natural element for a Rolex”.

- Step 3: Pool test (1 hour) – Passed
I’ve even worn it to the beach a couple of times, went into the ocean, got hit by some waves, and still, nothing. That Rolex documentation also suggests avoiding salt water, but I just wash it after I get out of the ocean. This watch is a beast! They say most Rolex watches are water resistant to at least 100m, and some professional models even more. Mine is water resistant up to 300m. I haven’t tested that deep yet!

Conclusion
So, yeah, from my experience, these Rolex watches really are water-resistant. At least the Submariner is. I’ve put it through some stuff, and it’s held up like a champ. I’m pretty impressed, not gonna lie. I feel like I can wear this thing anywhere and not worry about it. Pretty cool.
