Alright, so let me tell you about my latest project, something I’ve been calling “Aquatic Fashion.” It all started when I was prepping for a beach trip. I thought, “Why not dive deep into the world of swimwear trends?” I mean, who doesn’t want to look their best while soaking up the sun, right?

So, I started by scouring the internet, looking at what’s hot in swimwear for 2024. I read a bunch of articles about the latest trends. Think sparkly one-pieces, those cute lingerie-inspired swimsuits, and even some minimalist bodysuits. I was like a kid in a candy store, so many styles to choose from!
Then, I got down to the nitty-gritty. I started looking at runway shows and resort collections. I wanted to see what the big designers were putting out there. I noticed a lot of bold prints, bright colors, and some really unique styles. It’s like, comfort meets confidence, you know?
I made a list of all the styles I liked. My next step was trying to figure out what would work for my body type. Not everything that looks good on the runway is going to look good on me, let’s be real. I did some research on that too. There are so many articles and guides out there about finding the right fit. It’s a jungle of information.
- Brazilian cuts
- Luxury thongs
- Innovative sun-permeable swimsuits
After that, I hit the stores. I wanted to see these trends in person, try some stuff on, and see how they felt. I spent hours in fitting rooms, mixing and matching, and trying to find the perfect pieces. It was tiring, but also kind of fun. This is the part that felt like an actual experiment, I documented every piece that I tried on.
Finally, I put together a few looks that I loved. Outfits that I felt good in, that were trendy but also practical. I mean, I actually want to swim in these, not just pose for pictures, although I did take a few of those too!

The Results
I ended up with a few killer swimsuits that I can’t wait to wear. I’ve got a sparkly one-piece for when I’m feeling fancy, a comfy yet stylish two-piece for just lounging around, and a really cool, minimalist bodysuit that I think will be perfect for paddleboarding or something.
This whole “Aquatic Fashion” project was a blast. It was a lot of work, but I learned so much, and now I feel totally ready for my beach trip. And hey, maybe I’ll even turn some heads while I’m there! Who knows, maybe I’ll start a whole new trend myself.
