Okay, so, I’ve been thinking about getting a bob for, like, forever. My face is kinda round, and I wasn’t sure if it would look good, you know? I mean, I see all these chic bob styles, and they look so cool, but will it work on me? That’s the big question.
So, I did what any sane person would do. I started looking things up online, you know? And it is said that, yes, bob can actually work for round faces. It’s all about finding the right style. I read somewhere that a longer bob, like a lob, might be better because it can make your face look a bit longer, not so round. Makes sense, right?
I have straight hair, so I figured a sleek bob could look pretty polished. I don’t have those natural waves some people are blessed with. But then I thought, maybe I should try some texture? Maybe some layers to soften things up? I mean, it’s just hair, it will grow back if I mess it up, right?
So, I finally decided to go for it. I went to a salon, showed the stylist some pictures, and told her about my round face concerns. She was super nice and totally got what I was going for. We decided on a slightly angled bob, a bit longer in the front. She also added some soft layers, you know, to frame my face.
The whole process was kinda nerve-wracking, watching her snip away at my hair. But I kept telling myself, “It’s just hair, it’s just hair.” And you know what? It turned out great! Seriously, I love it!
The angled cut really does make my face look a bit less round. And the layers add some movement and volume, which is nice. It’s not super short, but it’s definitely a bob. I feel like a whole new person, honestly.
- Took the plunge: Finally went to a salon after lots of thinking.
- Talked it out: Had a good chat with the stylist about my face shape and what I wanted.
- Chop chop: Watched nervously as she cut my hair.
- Angled bob: We went for a slightly longer bob in the front.
- Added layers: She put in some soft layers to frame my face.
- Love it!: I’m super happy with the result!
So, yeah, if you have a round face and you’re thinking about a bob, I say go for it! Just find a good stylist and talk to them about what you want. It’s a fun change, and who knows, you might end up loving it as much as I do!
I spent almost 3 hours, with wash, trim, and styling. Even got a cute little head massage while she was washing my hair. That was nice, a little extra pampering, you know?
All in all, I think I spent around $80. Not bad for a whole new look, right? Totally worth it, I’d say. Now I’m just trying to figure out how to style it myself. I got some product recommendations from the stylist, so hopefully, I can make it look as good as she did. Fingers crossed!
Anyway, that’s my bob journey. It was a bit of a rollercoaster, but I’m so glad I did it. Maybe I’ll try a different style next time, but for now, I’m rocking this bob!
