Man, let me tell you about my latest project. I’ve always been a huge James Bond fan, and those Aston Martins? Don’t even get me started. So, I thought, why not combine the two? I decided to make a little tribute to the new Bond film, “No Time To Die,” by focusing on the Aston Martin Vantage. I’m calling it the “Bond Aston Martin Vantage” project, pretty original, huh?

First thing I did was to dig around for information. Remembered reading somewhere that Ian Fleming, you know, the Bond creator, once wrote about Bond choosing between an Aston Martin and a Jaguar. He picked the Aston Martin DB III. Either one would’ve worked for his cover – a rich, thrill-seeking guy with a thing for the finer things in life. Makes sense.
The Inspiration
Now, Aston Martin, they’re all over this Bond connection. They’re even celebrating the release of “No Time To Die.” I guess they made this special edition, the Vantage 007, to celebrate the new movie. Only 100 of them in the whole world, and they’re going for like 200 grand. Crazy, right?
Turns out, Aston Martin teamed up with EON Productions, the guys who make the Bond films, along with Metro Goldwyn Mayer Studios. It’s like a match made in heaven. This whole thing is to celebrate the 25th Bond film. Can you believe it? 25 films!
The Project Begins
So, Aston Martin has this custom shop called “Q by Aston Martin.” Sounds fancy, and it totally is. They made two special 007 cars. The first one? You guessed it, the Vantage 007 Edition. It seems like Q, who is the guy in charge of Aston Martin, has been busy.
They started with the Vantage, and the Q department gave it this dark gray color, called Cumberland Grey, I think. They also changed the grille to this mesh thing. It’s pretty sweet, I gotta say.

Bringing It All Together
What I did was I took all this, all these details, and I started to create my own tribute. I documented everything, every detail, every change.
- First, I made sure to note down the color – that Cumberland Grey.
- Then, I looked at the grille, how they made it all mesh-like.
- I made sure to capture the essence of the Vantage 007 Edition.
It was a fun project, a real labor of love. And you know what? I think it turned out pretty darn good. A real tribute to Bond, to Aston Martin, and to that timeless cool factor they both have.
