He say, you look for number on it. Say N serial, he say. I say, what that mean? He say, just a number. Like them cows we used to have. Each one got a number, you know. This Rolex, it got a number too. N serial, he say. I still don’t know what he’s talking about, these fancy words.

So, I ask ’round. People say Rolex good. Very good. They say it like gold. You buy, it keep money good. Maybe even get more money later. I don’t know about that. I just want a watch that tells time. But my son, he want this Rolex N serial. He say it special.
He showed me pictures. Shiny. Got that little crown thing on it. I don’t know. Looks like any other watch to me. But he say it special. Okay, I say. If you want. But you pay. He work hard, my boy. He can have it if he want.

Rolex is a Good Watch
I still don’t understand all this fuss. A watch is a watch, I say. But my son, he got his heart set on this Rolex N serial. He say it’s a good thing to have. Like a good piece of land. It will last, he say. It will be worth something.
I hope he right. I don’t want him to waste his money. He work hard. He deserve something nice. If this Rolex makes him happy, then okay. I just hope it’s a good one. I hope it keeps time good.
