Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “champagne blonde” hair color all over my social media feeds lately, and I finally decided to give it a try. I mean, who doesn’t want to look like they just stepped out of a fancy party with a glass of bubbly in hand, right?

First things first, I had to do some digging. Turns out, this isn’t your average blonde. It’s like, the cool, sophisticated cousin of the usual blonde shades. It’s got this soft, creamy thing going on with a bit of shine, like a glass of actual champagne. Not too yellow, not too ashy, just right.
Now, I’m no hairstylist, so I definitely wasn’t going to try this at home. I booked an appointment with my usual salon. I even brought some pictures of some celebrity, Hailey Bieber, you know? She had this look, and I thought, “That’s the one!”
When I got there, I showed my stylist the pictures. She nodded, like she knew exactly what I was talking about. She said something about using a special kind of gloss, Shades EQ Gloss, apparently it’s only available in salons. And that it is important to avoid those basic, brassy tones. She kept mentioning something called “Gold Rose” and “Sparkling Wine,” which I guess are part of some Redken series. Fancy, huh?
She started by mixing some colors. I saw her putting in some golden blonde, and then, get this, a little bit of pink! I was like, “Pink? In my blonde hair?” But she assured me it was the secret sauce to getting that warm, multidimensional look. Trust the process, right?
- She applied the color, and I sat there for a while, flipping through magazines and trying to picture myself as a champagne blonde goddess.
- After what felt like forever, she rinsed my hair, and I finally got to see the result.
- And guess what? It was gorgeous!
The Result
My hair was this beautiful, shimmery shade of blonde. It wasn’t too bright, but it definitely had that “I’m expensive” vibe. The pink added this subtle warmth that made it look so unique. I felt like a million bucks, or at least like a very expensive bottle of champagne.

My stylist told me I’d need to come back every four to six weeks for touch-ups, which is fine by me. She did mention that if I was already a natural blonde, it would be even easier to maintain. Lucky for those natural blondes, huh? Anyway, I’m totally loving my new champagne blonde hair. It’s like a little bit of luxury in my everyday life. Cheers to that!
