So, I decided to hit up Coachella this year. It’s been on my bucket list for a while, you know? I finally took the plunge and started planning my trip. Let me tell you, it was a journey in itself.

First off, I had to figure out how to even get passes. I saw online that the best way was to register for the presale. So, I hopped on the official website before the deadline, which I think was January 18, 2024, and signed myself up. That got me a presale code, which was my golden ticket, literally.
Then came the waiting game. The lineup was announced, and I was stoked to see Lana Del Rey headlining on Friday. She’s a favorite of mine, so that was a big plus. I also noticed other cool acts like FKA twigs, The Prodigy, and Eyedress were on the list. It looked amazing, spread across two weekends in April, just like they did back in 2012, I think it was.
When the presale started, I was all over it. But man, those tickets went fast! Thankfully, I managed to snag some. If I hadn’t, I heard StubHub was a good backup for last-minute tickets, so I had that in my back pocket.
Next up was accommodation. I checked the festival’s partner hotels, but there was this whole age restriction thing. Some places you had to be 21 or over to check in, others were cool with 18. I made sure to read the fine print for my package to avoid any surprises.
I also opted for the payment plan at checkout, which was a lifesaver. It let me put down just 49 bucks and spread the rest of the payments out until March 7, 2025. That made it way easier on my wallet, giving me more time to plan and pay.
Oh, and I heard a bit about the history of Coachella too. Apparently, they started letting people camp on the grounds in 2003, and it’s been getting bigger ever since. They even added a third day in 2007. It’s crazy how much it’s grown.
- Registered for the presale on the official website.
- Got my presale code.
- Checked out the lineup, excited about Lana Del Rey.
- Secured tickets during the presale.
- Looked into accommodations, mindful of age restrictions.
- Chose a payment plan to make it more affordable.
So yeah, that’s how I got myself all set up for Coachella. It was a bit of a process, but totally worth it. I can’t wait to experience all the music and vibes. It’s gonna be epic!
