Alright, let’s gab about this thing, this… “dee-or who-dee,” is that how you say it? My grandkid showed me a picture, said it’s all the rage. Looks like a fancy sweater with a hood to me, but what do I know? I’m just an old woman.

What is this Dior Hoodie Anyways?
Well, from what I gather, it’s a sweatshirt, you know, like those comfy things you wear when it gets a bit chilly. But this ain’t your run-of-the-mill Walmart special. This “Dior” thing, it’s a name, a fancy one at that. Like them stores in the big city where everything costs a month’s worth of groceries.
So, this Dior hoodie is a designer hoodie. That means some fancy pants person designed it, and they slap a big price tag on it ‘cause of the name. Seems silly to me, but folks are willin’ to pay, I guess. My grandkid says all the young folks want it. They want that Christian Dior name on their clothes.
- It’s a sweatshirt with a hood
- It’s got a fancy name, “Dior”
- It’s real expensive.
Where Can You Get One of These Things?
Now, you ain’t gonna find this Dior hoodie at the local flea market, that’s for sure. My grandkid, she’s always on that darn phone, showed me some places. Said there’s these stores online, like “Sacks OFF Fifth” and “Lyst.” Sounds like a bunch of gibberish to me. But apparently, that’s where you get the fancy stuff.

She also mentioned somethin’ called “StockX.” Said it’s like a market, but for clothes and shoes. People buyin’ and sellin’ all sorts of things. Said you can even find used Dior hoodies there, sometimes for a little bit cheaper. Still sounds expensive to me though. They even got somethin’ called Dior sweatshirt, which looks just like the hoodie but without the hood. Same fancy name, same big price.
And then there’s “The RealReal.” Another one of them online places. My grandkid said they sell used fancy clothes, sometimes at a discount. Said you gotta be careful though, make sure you’re gettin’ the real deal and not some knock-off. Folks these days, always tryin’ to trick ya. Whether it’s a Dior men’s sweatshirt or a hoodie, you gotta watch out.
- Online stores like Saks OFF 5th and Lyst
- StockX, a marketplace for clothes and shoes
- The RealReal, for used designer clothes
How Much Does One of These Dior Hoodies Cost?
Hold on to your hats, folks, ‘cause this is where it gets crazy. From what I saw, these Dior hoodies cost a fortune! My grandkid was showin’ me prices, and I almost choked on my tea. We’re talkin’ hundreds, even thousands of dollars! For a sweatshirt! Can you believe it?
She showed me some on sale for like, $500-something. And that was supposed to be a good deal! Then there were others, fancy ones with special designs, goin’ for over a thousand, even three thousand dollars! Lord have mercy. That’s more than I paid for my first car. Seems like robbery to me, but hey, what do I know? People seem to be buyin’ them, especially during the sales like Black Friday where they might get up to 70% off. Still gonna cost you a pretty penny though.

I saw some places sayin’ “up to 70% off.” But even with a discount, it’s still more than I’d ever spend on a piece of clothing. I’d rather buy a good used car, or maybe fix up the roof. At least that way I know I’m gettin’ somethin’ useful. A Dior hoodie sale might sound good but you are still spendin’ big bucks for a designer sweatshirt. You can find a Dior hoodie for men pretty easily but the prices will knock your socks off.
- Hundreds, even thousands of dollars
- Sales sometimes offer discounts, but still expensive
- Prices vary depending on design and condition
Why Would Anyone Pay That Much for a Hoodie?
That’s the million-dollar question, ain’t it? I keep askin’ my grandkid, but she just shrugs and says it’s “fashion.” Says people like the way it looks, the way it feels, and mostly, they like the name. That Dior name, it’s a status symbol, I guess. Means you got money to burn.
She says some of them are even special, like they’re made in collaboration with some artist or another. Like there is a Dior X Peter Doig Logo Hoodie and a Dior X Cactus Jack Oversized hoodie. These fancy names just mean they cost even more. Beats all I ever heard. Back in my day, a sweatshirt was just a sweatshirt. Kept you warm, that’s all it needed to do. Now, it’s gotta be a “dee-or” or somethin’ or other, or folks won’t look twice at ya.
But hey, it ain’t my money. If folks wanna spend their hard-earned cash on a fancy hoodie, that’s their business. Me, I’ll stick with my old flannel shirts and my hand-knitted sweaters. They keep me warm just fine, and they don’t cost an arm and a leg.

I guess if you got the money and wanna look fancy, go ahead and buy yourself a Dior hoodie. Just don’t come cryin’ to me when you realize you coulda bought a whole lotta groceries with that money instead. And remember, whether it’s a men’s Dior hoodie or some other fancy thing, it’s just clothes. Don’t let it go to your head.
- It’s considered fashionable and a status symbol
- Some are special collaborations with artists
- People like the way it looks and feels
