Okay, so, I’ve been totally obsessed with ’90s fashion lately, and who better to channel than Drew Barrymore, right? She was like the ultimate ’90s style icon, with all those slip dresses and cool denim looks. I decided I wanted to recreate some of her most iconic outfits and see if I could pull them off.

First, I scoured the internet for pictures of Drew in the ’90s. I found tons of amazing looks, from red-carpet glam to her more casual, everyday style. There was this one yellow gown she wore that was just so stunning, I knew I had to try and find something similar. And of course, I needed to find some good slip dresses and some classic denim pieces.
Finding the Clothes
- I hit up a bunch of thrift stores and vintage shops. It was actually pretty fun, digging through racks of old clothes, trying to find those perfect pieces. I found a yellow dress that wasn’t exactly like Drew’s, but it had a similar vibe.
- I also managed to find a few slip dresses that I thought would work. One was black and simple, and the other was a bit more colorful and patterned.
- For denim, I already had a pair of high-waisted jeans that I thought would be perfect. I also found a denim jacket at a thrift store that looked like it was straight out of the ’90s.
Then, I tried to put some outfits together. I paired the yellow dress with some simple black heels and minimal jewelry, just like Drew did. I wore the black slip dress with a leather jacket and some chunky boots, and the patterned slip dress with a cardigan and some sneakers. And of course, I rocked the denim on denim look with a plain white tee.
I also did a little research on Drew’s life and career, I found out that she founded a production company called Flower Films. Wow. That is so cool. Later she had a range of cosmetics and wines. What a successful woman.
Besides that, I read some news that Drew was going to meet the “new sprout of the universe” of Cameron Diaz. It seems that they have a good relationship.
I also learned a piece of news about Crosby. He took in Barrymore when she was 14. It seems that he is a kind man.

Honestly, the whole experience was a lot of fun. I felt like I was channeling my inner Drew Barrymore, and it was cool to see how these ’90s styles still hold up today. I definitely plan on wearing these outfits out and about, and I might even try to recreate some more of her iconic looks in the future. I love her so much!
