Okay, guys, let’s talk about this GTI 98 thing. I’ve been messing around with it, and I want to share what I’ve found.
So, a while back, I got my hands on this GTI 98. I heard that it was all about that driving pleasure, and man, were they right. It’s got this four-cylinder engine, which, I gotta say, is pretty robust. They say it started with 110 PS back in ’76. Now, this thing I’m driving has, like, more than double that – a whopping 245 PS!
First thing I did was take it out for a spin. I mean, you can’t really know a car until you’ve driven it, right? I was used to driving manual, so this was a bit different. But everything about this GTI, it just felt tighter. The handling, the suspension, even the way the throttle responds. It’s all so crisp.
I spent a good few days just driving around, getting a feel for it. I pushed it a bit, you know, to see what it could really do. And let me tell you, it didn’t disappoint. This thing moves!
- Handling: Super responsive. You turn the wheel, and it goes exactly where you want it to.
- Suspension: It’s firm, but not in a bad way. You feel the road, but it’s not jarring.
- Throttle: Instant response. You press the pedal, and it just goes.
Now, I know some folks are saying it wouldn’t meet modern safety and emission standards, and maybe they’re right. But for pure driving fun? This thing’s got it in spades.
It’s not a car for everyone, I get that. But if you’re someone who just loves the feeling of being connected to the road, of feeling every turn, every acceleration, then you gotta try this thing.
I’m still playing around with it, seeing what else I can discover. But so far? It’s been a blast. I’ll keep you guys updated on anything new I find.
