Okay, so, let’s talk about these Gucci espadrilles I’ve been eyeing. I’m a sucker for anything with that signature Microguccissima pattern, you know? It just screams “fancy” but in a chill way.

First things first, I started digging around online. I hit up a bunch of those luxury consignment sites. The RealReal kept popping up, so I spent a good chunk of time there. They claim everything’s authentic, which is cool, but you still gotta be careful, right?
Then I stumbled upon some listings on Poshmark. Way cheaper, but then I started wondering about the condition. One seller said their pair was only worn twice, but who knows for sure? I asked for more pictures, just to be safe.
While I was at it, I decided to read up on espadrilles in general. Turns out, they’ve been around forever! Like, we’re talking thousands of years. The basic ones have this rope sole and canvas top, and sometimes they have laces you tie around your ankle. Pretty neat, huh?
Gucci or what?
- I also found out that they’re originally from Spain.
- Specifically, the Pyrenees mountains, which is kind of cool.
- Makes you wonder about all the people who’ve worn them throughout history.
Anyway, back to the Gucci ones. They’re definitely an investment piece. I mean, even on those resale sites, they’re not exactly cheap. But I’m still thinking about it. Maybe I’ll treat myself for my birthday or something. They seem like the kind of shoes that would last a long time, and they’re pretty timeless, style-wise. They’re still in style in 2024. So, it’s not like they’re gonna be out of fashion next year.
Decided to get a pair of size 38, feels great! They look great on me! Classic will never be out of style!

Still, I’m gonna keep browsing for a bit. Maybe I’ll get lucky and find a pair in perfect condition for a steal. A girl can dream, right?
