Alright, let’s talk about hairstyles from 2010. Man, that feels like a lifetime ago, doesn’t it? I remember 2010 like it was yesterday. I was really into trying out different looks back then, experimenting with my hair, seeing what worked and what didn’t. Let me tell you, there were some hits and some definite misses.

So, the first thing I did was dig up some old photos. You know, to refresh my memory and see what I was actually working with. It was a trip down memory lane. I started looking at all the styles that were popular back then.
One of the big ones was the quiff. It was a cool look, basically having your hair longer on top and styling it upwards. I tried that a few times. It took some work, using a good amount of hair product and a blow dryer. Some days it looked awesome, other days, not so much. It really depended on how much time and effort I put in, and let’s be honest, some days I just couldn’t be bothered.
- First attempt at the quiff: Disaster. Looked like a bird’s nest.
- Second attempt: Better, but still not quite right.
- Third attempt: Nailed it! But it took forever.
Another big trend was braids.
I remember seeing braids everywhere, especially that hairline braid, you know, like the one Lauren Conrad used to rock on MTV. I got really into braids for a while. I practiced on my own hair, trying different styles. The hairline braid was tricky, but I got the hang of it after a while. I even tried doing some bohemian-inspired updos with braids. Those were fun for parties or going out.
I also messed around with those beachy waves. That was a whole thing. You’d use those texture sprays to make your hair look all tousled and wavy, like you just spent a day at the beach. I spent a good chunk of time trying to perfect that look. Some days my hair cooperated, other days it just looked like a frizzy mess.
Dyeing was huge.
I remember the dip-dye trend, where you’d dye the ends of your hair a different color. I tried it a couple of times, I think once with blue and once with pink. I remember feeling super cool and edgy. It was a fun way to change things up without going too crazy. I also tried undercuts. Basically, you shave a part of your head underneath. It was a bold move, but I wanted to try something different. My mom hated it, but I thought it was cool.

Looking back, 2010 was a fun time for hair. It was all about experimenting and trying new things. Some styles worked out, some didn’t, but it was all part of the fun. I definitely have some good memories (and some questionable photos) from that era. It’s funny how styles come and go, but some of those 2010 looks might actually make a comeback. Who knows?
