Hey everyone, so I’ve been wanting to share this for a while now. It’s about my little adventure with the Hermes Oasis sandals. Yeah, those fancy ones. I finally got a pair, and let me tell you, it was quite the journey. So, grab a snack, and let’s dive in!

It all started because it’s summer, and I was like, “I need some stylish sandals.” Not just any sandals, though. I wanted some designer ones. I’d been eyeing those Hermes sandals for ages, the ones with the big ‘H’ on them. They just looked so classy and perfect for the season. I mean, who wouldn’t want to strut around in those?
So, I started doing my homework. I’m not the type to just jump into these things, you know? I gotta know what I’m getting into, especially with something that’s a bit of a splurge. I was checking out all sorts of places online, trying to figure out the best way to get my hands on a pair. Price, authenticity, you name it, I was on it.
Here’s where it gets interesting. These sandals, they’re not cheap. We’re talking designer prices here. But I found out that they’re all handmade, which kind of explains the cost. They are all from designers’ hands, that make sense. Plus, there’s the whole luxury brand thing. Anyway, I figured, if I’m gonna do this, I’m gonna do it right.
I went on a mission
- First, I hit up some of those resale websites. I thought, “Maybe I can find a gently used pair for a better price.” And I did find some! Browns, blacks, even some grays. But here’s the thing, you gotta be careful with these sites. You never really know if you’re getting the real deal or a really good fake.
- Then, I checked out some luxury consignment stores online. These places are supposed to authenticate everything, so I felt a bit safer. But the prices were still pretty high up there. I mean, we’re talking almost like getting a new pair.
After all that back and forth, I decided to just go for it and get a new pair. I figured it’s a grad gift to myself, so why not, right? I saved up a bit, did some budgeting, and finally took the plunge. I went to a Hermes store, tried them on, and it was love at first sight. I felt so fancy, like I was walking on clouds, but like, really expensive clouds.
Getting the sandals was one thing, but then there’s the whole VAT refund thing if you buy them overseas. I didn’t do that, but I read that you can save some money that way. Maybe next time, I’ll plan a trip to Europe and make it a whole experience. “buy it in Europe, it is cheaper.” That’s what my friend said.

So, there you have it. That’s my story of getting my Hermes Oasis sandals. It was a bit of a process, a bit of an investment, but honestly, I love them. They’re super comfy, they look amazing, and they just make me feel good. And I think that is the most important thing.
If you’re thinking about getting a pair, I’d say do your research, think about what you’re comfortable spending, and if you decide to go for it, enjoy the heck out of them! They’re more than just sandals; they’re like a little piece of luxury that you can wear every day. Just watch out for those resale sites, though. Better safe than sorry, especially when it comes to these kinds of things. That’s all!
