Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with these Nike GT Cut 3 shoes for a while now, and I gotta say, it’s been a journey. I first heard about them from some online reviews.
At first, I was all hyped up about the Zoom X thing. I mean, I heard it’s some fancy cushioning stuff they use in running shoes. So, I grab a pair, same size as my old GT Cuts, a 9.5. Right out of the box, they fit pretty good, a bit narrow, but nothing crazy. The design was kinda cool, too.
I started wearing them for some pick-up games at the park. First thing I noticed was the grip. These things stick to the outdoor court like glue. And that bounce? I have worn the Cut 2 before. It was definitely springy. I was cutting and changing directions like it was nothing. Felt real quick on my feet.
But it wasn’t all smooth sailing. After a few games, I realized they were a bit too snug for my liking. My feet felt a little cramped, especially after playing for a while. If you’ve got wider feet, you might wanna think about going up half a size or trying them on first.
- Fit: True to size, but a bit narrow.
- Traction: Awesome grip on outdoor courts.
- Cushioning: The Zoom X is bouncy.
- Support: They feel secure, but maybe too snug for some.
But overall, I kept playing in them. They’re good shoes. They look good, they perform well, and that Zoom X cushioning is no joke. And they are great low tops that work well for any position. I got used to the snug fit after a while.
In the end, the Nike GT Cut 3 is my favorite Nike basketball shoe so far. They just feel right for my playing style. I love how light they are, and the cushioning is fantastic. If you’re looking for a new pair of basketball shoes, I’d say give these a shot. Just make sure you get the right fit!
