Okay, so, I’ve been seeing all these pictures of Irina Shayk lately, right? She’s always looking amazing, especially in those bikini shots. I figured, why not try to capture some of that vibe myself? Not that I’m comparing, but, you know, inspiration and all that.

First thing I did was look up some of her most iconic bikini moments. Lots of black bikinis, some bright colors, and always that confident pose. I spent a good hour just scrolling through images, trying to figure out what made her look so good. It’s not just the bikini, it’s the whole attitude.
Then came the hard part – finding a bikini that I felt good in. I tried on a few different styles, from the classic black ones to a bright yellow one. Let me tell you, it’s a whole different experience trying these on compared to just browsing online. I definitely had a few “nope, not happening” moments.
Here’s a little list of what I tried:
- A tiny black bikini – felt a bit too revealing for me, to be honest.
- A bright yellow one – loved the color, but the fit wasn’t quite right.
- A blue one with a straw hat – getting closer to the Irina vibe!
After a few shopping trips, I finally settled on a simple blue bikini that I felt comfortable in. It wasn’t exactly like Irina’s, but it was something I could see myself wearing at the beach or by the pool.
Next up was the setting. I didn’t have a fancy yacht or a tropical island, but I do have a nice little pool area in my backyard. It’s surrounded by some greenery and gets some good sunlight, so I figured that would work. I even found a straw hat lying around that added a nice touch.

Taking the photos was… an experience. Let me just say, posing is harder than it looks! I tried a few different angles, some by the pool, some sitting on the outdoor furniture. I even attempted a mirror selfie, which was a total fail, haha.
After what felt like a hundred photos, I finally got a few that I didn’t hate. They weren’t exactly supermodel material, but they captured a bit of that summer feeling I was going for. I even got my kiddo to take a few, and she had a blast playing photographer.
So, yeah, that was my attempt at recreating Irina Shayk’s bikini vibes. It was a fun little project, and it definitely gave me a new appreciation for how much work goes into those seemingly effortless photos. Maybe I’ll try it again sometime, but for now, I’m happy with my little backyard photoshoot.
