So, I was chilling the other day, scrolling through my Insta feed, and it hit me – is Kylie Jenner really considered Gen Z? I mean, she’s everywhere, right? But she’s been famous for so long, it feels like she should be older.

I decided to dig into it. First, I hit up Google. Just a quick search, “Kylie Jenner born,” and bam! There it was: August 10, 1997, in Los Angeles. Okay, so she’s definitely on the younger side.
Next, I wanted to see what the general vibe was about her. I stumbled upon a bunch of articles about her being a “media personality,” “socialite,” and “businesswoman.” Yeah, that checks out. She’s got her own cosmetics line and skincare stuff, and let’s not forget she’s part of the whole Kardashian/Jenner clan, so reality TV is in her blood. She was a super star of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
- I checked out her Instagram (@kyliejenner, in case you didn’t know), and whoa… 397 million followers! That’s insane.
- She’s got like 7,000 posts, mostly promoting her brands (@kyliecosmetics, @kylieskin, @khy, @drinksprinter), but also some personal stuff.
Then, I got a bit sidetracked. I found some info about her keeping the gender of her second kid with Travis Scott a secret from her family. And there was even some juicy stuff about her “rocky relationship” with Kendall. I guess even celebrity families have their drama, right?
The last thing I found was some quizlet flashcard. It is really irrelevant with Kylie but it mentioned a famous person name MJ, so weird.
Anyway, back to the main question: Gen Z or not? Considering Gen Z is usually defined as those born between 1997 and 2012, and Kylie was born in 1997, she’s technically right on the edge. But with her massive influence and online presence, I’d say she’s definitely a Gen Z icon.
