Okay, so, I’ve been digging into this whole John Mayer thing lately, and let me tell you, it’s been quite a ride. You know how sometimes you just stumble upon something and then you’re down the rabbit hole? That’s basically what happened to me with John Mayer’s early years.

First off, I started by just listening to his music. I mean, who hasn’t heard “Your Body Is a Wonderland,” right? But then I got curious about the guy behind the music. So, I did what any normal person would do – I googled him. And that’s when things got interesting.
I found out that his album “Room for Squares” is his best-selling album to date. I mean, the man sold over 4 million copies! Just in the United States as of July 2014! That’s wild. So I listened the whole album again and it is really good.
But it wasn’t all smooth sailing for Mayer. I read that he had some serious vocal issues. He got some Botox injections – in his vocal cords. And he couldn’t even talk for months! Can you imagine? A singer who can’t talk? Man, I can’t imagine he can’t talk, it is really bad, especially he is a singer. I found some old videos of him during that time, and he was just playing the guitar, no singing. It must’ve been tough.
Then, of course, there’s the whole Taylor Swift drama. I stumbled upon some interviews where he talks about “Dear John,” which, let’s be real, is totally about him. It’s kind of awkward, but hey, who am I to judge? We’ve all got our past, right?
I also spent a good chunk of time just looking at old photos of him. I went on some image website. It’s crazy to see how much he’s changed over the years. He’s got that whole “cool dad” vibe going on now. And I saw some saying “You’re gonna have to give him a moment,” this is so funny! Also, I checked some videos, concert photos of him, you know, just to see what he was like back in the day. He looked so young!

Anyway, that’s my John Mayer deep dive in a nutshell. I just wanted to share it with you all because, why not? It’s been a fun little adventure, and now I’ve got a newfound appreciation for the guy. And today is the singer’s birthday, so happy birthday John!
