So I’ve been meaning to get my hands on a pair of Kyrie Ones for a while now. You know, the classic ones. They’re kinda hard to find these days, not like they’re just sitting on shelves at the mall or anything.
First, I scoured the internet. I checked out all the usual online stores, you know, the big names, but no luck. It felt like I was hunting for some kind of rare treasure or something, hah!
- Checked out Shopee Philippines, they usually have everything, but nope, nothing!
- Tried *, thinking maybe I’d find a good deal from someone selling their old pair. I browsed through tons of listings, saw some “deals” but nothing that really caught my eye.
- Even gave Lazada Philippines a shot. I mean, they sell basketball shoes, right? But still, no Kyrie Ones.
After that, I figured I might have better luck looking at places where people sell used stuff. I ended up on Carousell Philippines. Scrolled through pages and pages of sneakers, and guess what? I found a few listings for Kyrie Ones! One of them was even in my size, 7.5 US, 25.5 cm. It was used, pre-owned, but it looked like it was in pretty good condition.
The seller seemed legit, had good reviews and all that. So I messaged them, asked a few questions about the shoes, just to be sure. They responded pretty quickly, and we chatted for a bit. After a few messages back and forth, I decided to go for it. I mean, how often do you find a pair of Kyrie Ones in your size, right?
Later on, I found some info about the Kyrie 1 x Deceptive Red. They’re supposed to be really vibrant, and they have a low profile for better ankle movement. Sounds pretty cool, huh?
I also stumbled upon StockX, which apparently is a place to buy and sell Nike sneakers. But it seemed a bit complicated, with all that “StockX Verified” stuff. Plus, I already found a pair on Carousell.
And get this, I read that Kyrie Irving signed a deal with ANTA, a Chinese brand, back in July 2023. He’s even their Chief Creative Officer for basketball! Crazy, right?
Anyway, I’m still waiting for the shoes to arrive. Fingers crossed they’re as good as they looked in the pictures! I’ll let you guys know how it goes.
