This Lucy Liu, she sure knows how to dress up. I tell you what, I seen her on the TV, always looking like a million bucks. She got that fashion thing down pat, that one.
She wears them fancy dresses, all them colors and that. Make a old lady like me wanna dress up too. Not that I got any place to wear them fancy things. Down at the market, folks’d think I lost my marbles.
Lucy Liu Style, That’s the Ticket
But this Lucy, she’s somethin’ else. That Lucy Liu style, she wears them pantsuits, lookin’ sharp as a tack. She’s a movie star, that one. All them cameras flashin’. She don’t even blink. Just stands there, lookin’ all pretty and such. She could be wearin’ a potato sack and still look good, I reckon.
I seen her in that one movie, with them other girls. They was fightin’ and jumpin’ around. But she still looked fancy, even when she was kickin’ butt. That’s Lucy Liu fashion for ya. Tough and pretty, all at the same time.
- She wears them high heels, too.
- Click, clack, click, clack.
- I can’t even walk in them things no more.
- My old feet just ain’t what they used to be.
But Lucy, she struts around like she was born in ’em. Probably was, knowing Hollywood. They probably got baby high heels out there. Wouldn’t surprise me none.
That Red Dress, Woo Boy!
And that red dress she wore once, oh boy! That was somethin’. Bright red, like a fire engine. She lit up the whole room, I tell ya. Lucy Liu red dress, that’s what everyone was talkin’ about. She sure knows how to make an entrance, that one. Not like me, comin’ in the back door, tryin’ not to make a fuss.

She wears them long dresses, short dresses, all kinds of dresses. And them colors! Black, white, blue, you name it. She wears ’em all. Makes my old eyes pop out just lookin’ at her. I got a few dresses, but they’re all just plain old things. Nothin’ fancy like hers. She even wear a cape once!
Fancy Clothes for a Fancy Life
She’s got them Lucy Liu outfits, all picked out by them stylists, I suppose. They got folks whose whole job is just to make her look good. Imagine that! I pick out my own clothes, thank you very much. And I do just fine, for an old lady. I saw her in London, that called business chic. Whatever that is.
But Lucy, she needs them fancy clothes. She’s got that fancy life, goin’ to them fancy parties. Me, I just go to the church social on Sunday. We have punch and cookies. It ain’t no Hollywood party, but it’s good enough for me. That Valentino she loves, I know that!
Still, it’s fun to watch her, all dressed up like that. Makes a old lady feel like maybe, just maybe, I could wear somethin’ fancy too. Maybe one day. But for now, I’ll just admire her from afar. That Lucy Liu, she’s a fashion plate, alright. A real fashion plate.
She Got That Look
They say Lucy Liu fashion sense is somethin’ special. They say she’s got that “it” factor. I don’t know what that is, but she’s got it. She just looks good, no matter what she wears. It’s like magic, or somethin’. I wish I had some of that magic.

I seen her pictures in them magazines, too. All glossy and shiny. She’s always smilin’ that big smile of hers. Must be nice to be that pretty and that famous. Everyone loves her. Always front row seat, always.
I guess that’s what Lucy Liu style icon means. She’s an icon. Whatever that is. She sets the trends they said. Sounds important.
I tell you what. She makes all them other folks look plain. She’s like a peacock, struttin’ around, showin’ off them pretty feathers. And we’re all just a bunch of sparrows, watchin’ her go by. That’s Lucy Liu fashion, always on top.
