Man, I gotta tell you about this wild hair journey I went on, inspired by none other than Maluma. You know, that Colombian singer with the killer tunes? Yeah, that guy. I was scrolling through Pinterest one day, saw a pic of him with this amazing long hair, and I was like, “I gotta have that.”

So, I started growing my hair out. And let me tell you, it was a process. There were days when I looked like a wet mop, days when I wanted to chop it all off, and days when I felt like a rockstar. It’s funny, people started treating me differently. Some gave me weird looks, others were all about it. I even got a few compliments, which was a nice boost.
I experimented a lot with styles. Some days, I rocked a ponytail, especially when it was hot. Other days, I let it all hang loose, which, honestly, made me feel pretty cool. I learned that long hair is super versatile. You can do so much with it. I never knew hair could be this much fun!
- Tried out some man buns – not always a win, but hey, gotta try, right?
- Discovered the power of hair products – who knew there were so many?
- Realized that long hair takes way more effort than short hair. Duh.
But, here’s the thing. I got kind of obsessed with this whole Maluma look. I started looking at his tattoos, his accessories, trying to copy his vibe. It was a bit much, even for me. I realized I was losing myself in this whole thing.
The Big Chop
So, after months of growing and styling and whatnot, I decided to chop it all off. I didn’t go super short, but I went for a shoulder-length cut with some layers. It felt… lighter. Not just physically, but mentally too. It was like shedding a persona that wasn’t really me. The haircut made me look more youthful, some girls told me. And I kinda like it.
This whole experience taught me a lot. It’s cool to get inspired by someone, but it’s even cooler to be yourself. And hey, at least I can say I had long hair once. It was a fun ride, but I’m happy to be back to a style that feels more like me. I guess now I can focus on other things, like writing this blog. What an experience!
