Okay, so I needed a new suit, and I’d heard good things about Men’s Wearhouse. There’s one in Buford, GA, not too far from me, so I figured I’d give it a shot.

First, I drove over there. It’s in a big shopping center, so parking was a bit of a mess, but I found a spot eventually.
Went inside and, man, it was packed! Like, seriously busy. Lots of guys looking for suits, shirts, ties, the whole nine yards. I wandered around for a bit, just browsing. They have a ton of stuff, almost too much. It was a little overwhelming, honestly.
Finally, a salesperson, I think his name was Mike, came over and asked if I needed help. I told him I was looking for a suit, something for a wedding I’ve got coming up. He showed me a few different styles, and we talked about colors and fabrics. He was pretty helpful, but I could tell he was busy, you know? Like he had a million other customers to deal with.
I tried on a few suits. Some fit okay, others were way off. Mike helped me with the sizing, suggesting different cuts and styles. It was a process, let me tell you.
- The first suit I tried on was too tight in the shoulders.
- The second one was too baggy in the legs.
- The third one was almost perfect, but the jacket was a little too long.
After what felt like forever, I finally found a suit that fit pretty well. It was a nice navy blue, and it felt good on. We picked out a shirt and tie to go with it. Mike even showed me how to tie a half-Windsor knot, which was cool.

Then came the alterations. They had an in-house tailor, which was convenient. He pinned up the pants and took in the jacket a little. Said it would be ready in a week.
Finally, I paid for the suit and alterations. It wasn’t cheap, but I guess that’s what you get for a decent suit. Overall, it was a pretty long process, but I ended up with a suit I liked, so I guess it was worth it. I just hope that everything will be ready on time. I will update it later.
Summary
The Men’s Wearhouse in Buford, GA is a decent place to get a suit. They have a huge selection, and the staff is mostly helpful. Just be prepared to spend some time there, especially if you need alterations. And maybe try to go during off-peak hours if you can.
