Okay, so I’ve been hearing a lot of buzz about this new Gundam anime, Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance. I’m a huge Gundam fan, so naturally, I started to watch it.

First, I looked up where I could watch it. I saw some folks online saying that Universal Century stuff is what most Gundam fans recommend, but there is just so much content there. I found that Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance is streaming on Netflix, so I figured that’s where I’d start.
I opened up Netflix on my TV and started watching it. It’s all CGI, which is a bit different, but I thought, “Hey, let’s give it a shot.” The story is set during the One Year War, which I know a little bit about from some other Gundam stuff I watched before. This time, the story is from the Zeon’s side, which is also a different angle.
Honestly, the action scenes were pretty cool. I mean, seeing those Zeon mobile suits, which looked super real, go up against the Gundam EX was a rush. They even got a little artsy with it in some parts, which I didn’t expect but kinda liked.
The story itself is kind of a downer, though. It’s all about the Zeon forces getting pushed back, and it feels pretty hopeless. There is this one pilot character that they follow, and she goes through a lot. The whole thing made me think about how rough war really is, you know? It wasn’t just big robots fighting; it felt a lot more personal.
After watching all the episodes, I went online to see what other fans were saying. Some people loved it for the same reasons I did, like the realistic animation and the emotional story. Others weren’t too thrilled. They thought it was a bit too slow or didn’t like the CGI. It’s always interesting to see how different people react to the same thing.

In the end, I think Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance is worth checking out, especially if you’re already a Gundam fan. It’s not your typical Gundam show, but that’s what makes it stand out. It’s a bit of a mixed bag, sure, but I’m glad I watched it. It definitely gave me a lot to think about, and I’m curious to see what they do next in the Gundam universe.
- Watched it on Netflix.
- Enjoyed the CGI and action.
- Felt the story was emotional and thought-provoking.
- Saw mixed reactions from other fans online.
- Would recommend it to other Gundam fans.
Anyway, that’s my two cents on the new Gundam anime. It’s got its ups and downs, but it’s definitely an experience. I thought it was pretty darn good.
