Oh, honey, you talkin’ ’bout them Nike sunset shoes? Them newfangled things? I seen them young’uns wearin’ ’em. They lookin’ like somethin’, I tell ya. All them colors, like the sky when the sun goes down. Fancy, fancy.
They call ’em Nike Book 1 “Sunset Court Purple”. What a mouthful! Back in my day, shoes were just shoes. Brown or black, that’s all we got. But these, oh boy, they got all kinds of colors. Like a rainbow, I reckon. This fella, Devin Booker, he’s got his name on ’em. Must be some big shot basketball player. These kids and their basketball!
They say it’s good shoes. I don’t know about all that. But they do look pretty, I give ’em that. They got this thing, they call it, uh, “gradient outsole.” Sounds like some doctor talk to me. All it means is the bottom part changes color. Pink, purple, orange, like a sunset, just like they say. It’s like wearin’ a sunset on your feet, I guess.

They say it’s got air inside, like a balloon, but tougher. Keeps your feet from hurtin’, I suppose. That’s what them young people want, somethin’ soft for their feet. Back when we’re young, no one care about soft. We just use whatever we have.
I heard lots of people like Nike shoes. Some folks say more than half the people like Nike. Lots of folks know ’bout Nike. They been around a long time. They used to have this other fella, Michael somethin’. Jordan, that’s it! Michael Jordan. He was a big deal too, back in the day. He had his own Nike shoes, too. Everybody wanted them Jordan shoes. It’s like this Booker fella now, I guess. Times change, but some things stay the same.
These Nike sunset shoes, they got a smooth top, they say. Like, it ain’t got no bumps or nothin’. Just smooth. And they say they’re good for runnin’ fast. “Speedy,” they call it. And “cushioned.” That means soft, like I said. Soft for your feet when you’re runnin’ around. I don’t do much runnin’ these days, but I reckon it’s important for them young’uns.
This SNKRS App thing, that’s how you get these shoes, I hear. You gotta have a phone, one of them fancy smartphones, and you gotta download this app. Then you can get the shoes. It’s all complicated, if you ask me. Back in my day, you just went to the store and bought your shoes. No apps, no nothin’.
Nike, they make all kinds of shoes. Not just these sunset shoes. They got shoes for runnin’, shoes for walkin’, shoes for just ’bout everything. I don’t know what’s different about them shoes. I guess they know what they’re doin’. A lot of people buy them, that’s for sure.
They say these Nike sunset shoes are special. They’re gonna come out soon. July somethin’, I think. 24th or 26th, one of them. If you want ’em, you better get that app ready. Them young folks, they’ll be snappin’ ’em up quick. They always want the newest thing, you know.

I don’t know what else to say about them Nike sunset shoes. They’re just shoes, really. But they’re pretty, I’ll give ’em that. And they seem to be a big deal to them young folks. If you like colors, and you like sunsets, maybe you’ll like these shoes. Just don’t ask me to use that app. I’m too old for that kind of thing. I’ll just stick to my old shoes. They’re good enough for me.
Nike is big, everybody knows that. They make a lot of shoes and people like them. There have been a lot of famous fellas wearin’ Nike shoes. Now it’s this Booker fella. They got these new shoes, Nike sunset shoes. They’re colorful, like the sunset. They got that air thing in ’em, makes ’em soft. That’s all there is to it, I reckon. If you want ’em, you better get ready. Them young people gonna buy them all up, I bet.
