Okay, so, I’ve been obsessed with Taylor Swift’s Reputation Era tour, and I just had to try and recreate some of those iconic looks. It’s all about that edgy, bold vibe, you know? So, I started this little project to put together some outfits inspired by the tour. It was a lot of fun, and a little crazy at times. Let’s get to it.
Diving into the Reputation Vibe
First, I started to look at a bunch of photos and videos from the tour. I mean, Taylor wore some seriously amazing outfits during those shows. It was a lot of black, a lot of sequins, and definitely a lot of snake stuff. I watched some videos from YouTube, there are a lot of great ones that show off her costumes from various nights of the tour. I even found some fan-made videos breaking down each look, which was super helpful!
Gathering the Materials
Once I had a good idea of what I was going for, I started to gather my materials. I raided my closet for anything black and sparkly. I also found a cool leather jacket, which is a total must-have for that Reputation feel. I even picked up some snake-themed accessories online to really drive the point home. I ordered a couple of things online and went to some local thrift stores. Thrift stores are a goldmine for this kind of project! I found a black sequined top for like $5, score!
Putting the Looks Together
Then came the fun part – putting the outfits together! I tried on a bunch of different combinations, mixing and matching until I felt like I had nailed that Reputation vibe. It was all about layering and finding that balance between edgy and glam. I even tried on a few different pairs of knee-high boots to complete the looks.
- Look 1: I paired the black sequined top with some black skinny jeans and my leather jacket. Added a snake necklace and some black boots. Felt totally fierce!
- Look 2: I found a black dress with some metallic details and wore it with some knee-high boots and a snake ring. This one felt a bit more dressed up, but still had that edgy vibe.
- Look 3: For this one, I went full-on snake mode. I found a top with a snake print and paired it with some black shorts and fishnet stockings. It was a bit more daring, but I loved it!
The Final Results
After a lot of trial and error, I finally put together a few outfits that I felt really captured the essence of the Reputation Era tour. It was so much fun channeling my inner Taylor and rocking these looks. I even took some photos to document the whole process. I had a mini photoshoot in my living room. The lighting was a bit tricky, but I think the pictures turned out pretty good! They might not be concert-ready, but I felt amazing wearing them.
