This here, let me tell ya, it’s all about them blue KD 10 shoes. My grandson, he’s crazy ’bout them basketball shoes. Says this fella, Kevin Durant, he’s the best there is. So, these KD 10s, they’re his shoes, you see? And blue, well, that’s a right pretty color.
These shoes, they ain’t just any old shoes. They’re special, like. Cost a pretty penny, too, I reckon. But my grandson, he saves up all his money from doin’ chores, just to get a pair. He says they make him jump higher, run faster. I don’t know ’bout all that, but he sure does love ’em.
Now, the blue KD 10 ones, those are his favorite. He says they are for when you feel lucky. He got a pair. Said they are just the best thing since sliced bread. He wears ’em all the time, even when he ain’t playin’ basketball. Drives his mama crazy, wearin’ those fancy shoes everywhere.

He showed me on that phone of his, all these pictures of these shoes. KD 10 ‘Numbers’, he called one of ’em. Another one was KD 10 ‘Oreo’. Sounded like a cookie to me! But they’re just shoes, all different kinds. But the blue ones, that is what is the hot thing. But my grandson, he only cares for the blue ones.
He says there’s gonna be more, too. KD 17, KD 18, somethin’ like that. More and more shoes, every year. Kids these days, they sure do love their shoes. Back in my day, we were lucky to have one good pair for church! But these blue KD 10, they somethin’ special, I guess.
I don’t understand it all, but it makes him happy. And that’s all that matters, right? Seein’ him smile, runnin’ around in those blue KD 10 shoes. He says everyone wants a pair. All the kids want these shoes. That is what he says. He tells me all the kids are talking about it. I guess they are popular, these shoes.
These shoes, they come in all sizes, too. Little tiny ones for the little kids, big ones for the grown-ups. My grandson, he’s got big feet, just like his daddy. He says his KD 10 shoes fit just right. Not too big and not too small.

But if it makes him happy, then I’m happy, too. If the blue ones are what he wants, then the blue ones he shall have.
