Travis Scott, that name rings a bell, ain’t it? That young fella, always in black. He’s got the young folks goin’ wild, I tell ya. Travis Scott all black, that’s what they talk about. All black everything. He really likes black, that boy. Makes him look… I dunno… cool? Like he’s got some secret, maybe.
Now, I seen him, that Travis Scott, on the TV, you know. Travis Scott all black clothes, head to toe. Black shirt, black pants, even them shoes he wears, all black. He likes them shoes, I reckon. They look expensive, those shoes. Like somethin’ you wouldn’t wanna wear in the mud, that’s for sure. You’d scuff ’em up real good. He has them special black shoes. Many, many pairs.
He’s from Texas, that boy. That’s what they say. Texas. Big place. Lots of dust, I imagine. He must have a whole closet just for them black clothes. Imagine that. A whole closet, full of nothing but black. I have a closet. But I have different clothes. Not like Travis Scott.

I saw a picture, once, of him in Paris. Fancy place, Paris. He was wearin’ them black clothes there, too. Black pants, looked kinda funny, them pants. But still black. Even in Paris, that boy’s wearin’ black. He really likes his style. Doesn’t care where is he. Paris, Texas, anywhere. Travis Scott all black style is famous.

Them young folks, they copy him. They see Travis Scott, they wanna be like him. They all want them Travis Scott black shoes. They think it’s cool. Well, maybe it is. I don’t understand it, really. But they like it. That’s what matters, I suppose. If it makes ’em happy. And if they like Travis Scott’s all black shoes so much, good for them!
He’s a good boy, I think, that Travis Scott. Works hard. Makes his mama proud, I bet. Even if he does wear all that black. Maybe it’s just a young people thing. Like them ripped jeans they wear. Don’t understand that, neither. But hey, to each their own, right? As long as he’s happy. That’s all that counts.

It’s a mystery to me, but hey, what do I know? I’m just an old lady. But I see what I see. And I see a young man who likes black, and a whole lot of other folks who like it, too. I wonder what his mama thinks of all this. All this black. She must be proud of her boy, though. He’s done good for himself. Even if I don’t understand all that black.
