Alright, so the other day I was digging through some old stuff, and guess what I found? A bunch of casting photos from the 90s! And you won’t believe who was in there – Salma Hayek! Yeah, the Salma Hayek. It totally took me back, and I just had to share this with you guys.
So, I grabbed the photo, and the first thing I did was scan it into my computer. I mean, this thing is almost 30 years old! I wanted to make sure I had a digital copy before anything happened to it. Then, I started looking at it more closely. She looks so young, but it’s definitely her. It’s wild to think this was her just as she was getting big in Hollywood.
- Checked the date: Yep, 1995. Right when she did “Desperado”.
- Zoomed in on the details: The photo quality isn’t the best, it’s a Polaroid, you know? But her energy just jumps out at you.
- Compared it to her recent pics: Seriously, this woman does not age! She’s like a vampire or something, haha.
After I finished admiring the photo, I decided to do some digging online. Turns out, I wasn’t the only one who thought this was cool. This casting photo of hers had actually gone viral! People were talking about it everywhere. They were pointing out the movies listed on her resume in the photo – some of them weren’t even released until a couple of years later, like “Fools Rush In” in ’97.
It’s crazy, right? Seeing her at the beginning of her career like this. I just had to share my little discovery and my process of geeking out over it.
