Okay, here is my blog post about how I soaked my hair:

So, I’ve been trying to get my hair super hydrated, you know, like really get that moisture locked in. I heard about this “soaked hair” thing and figured I’d give it a shot. Let me tell you, it was a bit of a process, but I think I’m starting to get the hang of it.
First things first, I washed my hair. I used my regular shampoo, nothing fancy. Just a good old cleanse to get rid of any product buildup or dirt. After rinsing out the shampoo, I squeezed out the excess water, but I didn’t fully dry it. My hair was still pretty damp.
Condition, Condition, Condition!
Next up, it was conditioner time. This is where the “soaked” part really comes in. I grabbed my trusty conditioner and slathered it on. I mean, I really coated my hair, from roots to tips. I used way more than usual. Like a crazy amount. I could almost hear my wallet crying. But hey, gotta get that deep hydration, right?
- Apply a generous amount of conditioner to wet hair.
- Massage it in, making sure every strand is covered.
- Leave it on for a while.
Once my hair was thoroughly conditioned, I just let it sit. No towel, no heat, nothing. I just let my hair soak in all that creamy goodness. I did some chores around the house while I waited. I think I left it in for a good hour or two. Just let it do its thing, you know?
Finally, after what felt like forever, I rinsed out the conditioner. I used cool water because I heard it helps to seal the hair cuticle or something. I made sure to rinse thoroughly, no one wants that greasy, conditioner-residue look.

After rinsing, I gently squeezed out the excess water and then wrapped my hair in a microfiber towel. I didn’t rub, just patted it gently. Then, I let my hair air dry the rest of the way. I’m still figuring out the best routine, but I think this soaking method is definitely making a difference. My hair feels softer and a bit more manageable. It’s a bit of a time commitment, but if you’re looking for some serious hydration, it might be worth trying out.
