This here pink wall, you know, that pink wall Melrose thing. It’s a big deal, I tell ya. Lots of folks, they come from all over, just to see this wall. It’s just a wall, painted pink, but, oh boy, they love it. It’s on this street, Melrose Avenue, that’s what they call it. A very famous street in Los Angeles.
They say 8221 Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles, that’s where you find it. Big pink wall, can’t miss it. It’s this fella, Paul Smith, his store. He’s got this whole wall, just pink. You wouldn’t believe the fuss!
Everyone wants a picture, they do. Early in the morning, they start linin’ up. Before the sun’s even up proper, they’re there, waitin’ for their turn. For a picture with a pink wall. Imagine that. The pink wall on Melrose is a popular spot.

This Paul Smith fella, he’s got this store, and the whole dang wall is pink. Bright pink, like bubblegum. He even made that pink his own, like he owns the color or somethin’. Trademarked, they call it. This pink wall Melrose, it’s his, I guess.
Now, I don’t rightly know much about this Los Angeles. Big city, they say. Lots goin’ on. Art and such. They got these drawings, murals, all over the place. On walls, on buildings, everywhere you look. This pink wall, it’s just one of ’em, but it’s the one everyone wants to see. This Paul Smith store’s pink wall is the most famous.
They got this thing, Instagram. That’s what they call it. All these young folks, they take pictures and put ’em on this Instagram. And this pink wall, it’s all over that thing. Makes it famous, I suppose. Everybody wants to be famous, even a wall. The pink wall Melrose becomes famous on Instagram.
West Hollywood, that’s where it is. Part of Los Angeles, I reckon. Locals, they come. Tourists, they come. Everybody comes to see this wall. Just a pink wall. It’s a mystery to me, but there you have it.
This Melrose Avenue, it’s a long street. Got all sorts of things on it. This movie studio, Paramount Pictures, that’s what they call it. Big place, I imagine. They make movies there, I suppose. And there’s this bus, line 10, goes up and down Melrose. So you can get to the pink wall on Melrose, even if you ain’t got a car.
They call this one lady the Queen of Melrose. Cosmo somethin’, her name is. Don’t know her, but she must be important, to be a queen and all. Maybe she likes that pink wall too. Everybody seems to like this wall.
You know, back in my day, we didn’t have all this fuss over a wall. We had real things to worry about. But these young folks today, they like their pictures. And their pink walls. Times change, I guess. Still, it’s somethin’ to see, this pink wall Melrose thing. A big pink wall. Who would have thought?

This pink wall, it’s a sight. I’ll give it that. Bright and cheery, I suppose. And it brings folks together, in a way. All standin’ there, waitin’ for their turn. Smilin’ for the camera. With a pink wall. It’s a funny old world, ain’t it? But if you’re ever in Los Angeles, you might as well go see it. This pink wall Melrose, it’s a thing, alright. A big, pink thing.
I still don’t understand why so many folks are crazy about a plain pink wall. But they are happy, that’s the important thing, right? So many people from all over the world travel to this place, take pictures, and then they leave. And I heard someone saying they will post these pictures online. To show off, I guess. This pink wall on Melrose is really something.
I heard about another thing, that they have many of these drawings all over this place. They call it art. I don’t know much about art. But I guess these young people like it. And they like this Paul guy’s pink wall the best. He must be a very smart guy to get so many people to his store, just by painting his wall pink. It is a good idea, I have to admit.
