Okay, guys, so I’ve been messing around with this Tissot T-Touch Connect Solar watch for a while now, and I gotta say, it’s been a bit of a journey. I picked this thing up because I was curious, plain and simple. I’d heard some buzz about it, saw it was a solar-powered smartwatch, and I thought, “Why not give it a shot?”

First off, finding one wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be. It took me a bit of searching through different stores online, checking prices here and there. I was trying to be smart about it, you know, not just jump at the first one I saw. I saw some comments said it has a good amount of power, I was so excited about it!
When I finally got my hands on it, my first mission was to figure out how this thing worked. I mean, it’s not your typical watch. There’s a lot going on with the touch screen and the buttons. I spent a good chunk of time just playing around with the different menus, seeing what it could do. And it’s quite a lot, really. This watch has a healthy list of features.
One thing I really wanted to see was how well the solar charging worked. I wore it outside a bunch, even on some cloudy days, just to see how it would charge. It wasn’t super fast, but it did get some juice from the sun. I guess it’s not enough to never have to charge it the old-fashioned way, but it’s still pretty cool.
Exploring the Features
I started digging into the features. There are a lot of them, and honestly, it took me a while to get the hang of everything. The user interface isn’t super intuitive at first, but once you get used to it, it’s not too bad. I found out it has Strava! How cool is that! I’m a big fan of doing sports.
Here’s a quick rundown of what I’ve been messing with:

- Activity Tracking: I’ve been using it to track my steps and workouts. It seems pretty accurate, and it’s motivating to see the numbers go up.
- Notifications: Getting notifications on my wrist is handy. I can see who’s calling or texting without having to pull out my phone all the time.
- Various Tools: There’s a bunch of other stuff too, like an altimeter, compass, and even a weather forecast feature. I haven’t used these as much, but they’re nice to have.
Overall, it’s been a fun experiment. It’s not a perfect watch, and there’s definitely a learning curve. I think you have to be a bit of a techie to really appreciate it. But if you’re looking for something different, something that’s not just another smartwatch, the Tissot T-Touch Connect Solar is worth checking out. Just be prepared to spend some time figuring it out!
