That Tony, he’s a big fella, ain’t he? Always with that cigar in his mouth. Makes him look tough, I reckon. He smokes ’em all the time, that Tony Soprano. Big ones, little ones, you name it. Heck, I seen him with a cigar so big, you’d think it was a log!

They say he likes them CAO Cigars. Fancy name, huh? Comes from some garage, they say. Started in a garage a long time ago. Back in 1968, I heard. Nashville. Sounds like a place for fancy folks, don’t it? But Tony, he ain’t too fancy. He just likes his cigars. Probably makes him feel like a big shot.
And that movie, the one about him when he was younger…The Many Saints of Newark. They called it a “spinoff.” I saw that word in one of those newspapers. Anyways, they showed him in that one puffing away on a CAO Maduro L’Anniversaire Robusto. Now that’s a mouthful, ain’t it? Long name for a cigar. Must be a good one, though, if Tony Soprano smokes it. He seems to know a thing or two about them cigars.
- That Tony, he’s always got a cigar.
- CAO Cigars is a brand he likes.
- He smoked a big one in that movie.
He’s got that big watch, too. Shiny thing. They call it a “Rolex President.” Heard someone talking about it. Probably cost more than my whole house! But that ain’t important. We are talking about Tony Soprano cigar. He is always smoking!
Now, I heard tell he likes another kind of cigar, too. Arturo Fuente Hemingway Short Story. That’s what they call it. Sounds like somethin’ out of a book, don’t it? They say it’s a “premium” cigar. Whatever that means. Just means it’s probably expensive, I bet. Made by some family, the Fuente family. Must be a big deal if Tony smokes ’em. He seems like the kinda fella who only smokes the best. Or what he thinks is the best, anyway. I don’t know much about cigars, only what I hear from others.
They also say he smokes Montecristos. Cuban ones. Gave a box of ’em to some doctor, I heard. Doctor Cusimano. Sounds like a fancy name, too. Cuban cigars, they say those are real special. Hard to get, maybe? I don’t know. But Tony, he gets ’em. He can get anything he wants, that fella.

- He smokes Arturo Fuente cigars.
- He smokes Montecristos, too.
- He even smokes Macanudos sometimes.
Then there’s Macanudos. Heard ’em talkin’ about those at some big game. Executive Game, they called it. Sounded important. They were makin’ a big fuss about them Macanudos. Must be another one of them fancy cigars. Tony, he smokes all kinds. He’s got expensive taste, I guess you could say. Good for him, I suppose. Everyone should enjoy what they like, right? As long as no one is hurting others.
So, yeah, that Tony Soprano, he’s a real cigar man. Always puffin’ away. Big ones, small ones, fancy ones, you name it. He probably has a whole room full of ’em, in one of his big houses. Wouldn’t surprise me none. He probably sits there, in his big chair, with his feet up, just smokin’ and thinkin’. Thinkin’ about whatever it is that Tony Soprano thinks about.
I don’t know why he likes ’em so much. Maybe it’s the taste. Maybe it’s the smell. Maybe it just makes him feel good. Or maybe it’s just somethin’ to do with his hands. Some folks are like that. Always need somethin’ to fiddle with. Could be a cigar, could be a toothpick, could be anything, I reckon. It is probably a habit now for him. He is always smoking in that show.
- Tony Soprano sure loves his cigars.
- He smokes all different kinds of cigars.
- It’s probably just a habit for him now.
He probably goes through a lot of ’em, too. A box a day, maybe? More? I don’t know. Just guessing. But I bet he spends a lot of money on them cigars. More than I make in a year, probably! But that’s his business, ain’t it? He can spend his money however he wants. And Tony Soprano cigar is famous.
Anyway, that’s all I know about Tony Soprano and his cigars. Just what I hear folks talkin’ about. He’s a character, that’s for sure. And those cigars, they’re a part of him, I guess. Like that hat some fellas wear, or that cane some old folks use. It’s just part of who he is. You never see him without one, do you? Always got one in his hand, or in his mouth, or tucked away somewhere. Yep, Tony Soprano and his cigars, they go together like… well, like a horse and carriage, I suppose. Or maybe a better way to put it is, they go together like ham and eggs!
