Today, I really wanted to try out this “Victory 47” perfume that’s been all over the internet. So I went out and got myself a bottle. I mean, the packaging alone was worth a look, all shiny gold and all that. Seriously, it looked pretty luxurious sitting on the shelf.
First off, I sprayed some on my wrist. The initial smell was pretty strong on the citrus, kind of like a zesty punch. Not bad, but definitely not something I usually go for. I walked around for a bit, letting it settle, and the citrus started to mellow out. After about an hour, it shifted into this woodsy, cedar kind of scent. That part, I actually liked.
- First try: Big on citrus.
- After an hour: Cedar scent came through.
I wore it throughout the day, just to see how it changed. It did fade a bit, but the cedar notes stuck around, which was cool. I gotta say, the whole “smell of strength and success” thing they advertise? I’m not sure about that. It’s just a perfume, guys.
I asked a few friends what they thought about the scent. One said it smelled “like a rich old man,” which, I guess, fits the whole gold bottle vibe. Another friend just shrugged and said it was “okay.” So, mixed reviews from my circle.
Conclusion?
Would I wear it again? Probably not. It’s not really my style. But if you’re into that citrus-to-cedar thing, you might dig it. It’s definitely got a strong, noticeable scent, so if that’s your jam, go for it. Personally, I think there are better fragrances out there. But hey, to each their own, right?
I learned that this is by a brand called Trump Fragrances, and * says their stuff is 100% real, straight from the makers. I saw people online comparing it to some Tom Ford stuff that Taylor Swift supposedly likes, but honestly, I don’t get the hype. I did hear about a guy named Kafeel Ahmed who started Ahmed Al Maghribi Perfumes, maybe I’ll check out his stuff next time. But yeah, this Victory 47? It’s a pass for me.
