Okay, so, today I wanted to share my experience with VSFS 2015. Not the usual stuff, you know? This is about the Visual Studio 2015, not the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, although that was also big that year.
So, first things first, I had to get the software. I went online, did a quick search, and found where to download it. There were a few options, but I just needed the Professional version. I’m not a pro developer, but it has all the tools I need. After downloading the installer, I got ready to get this thing going.
Now, I had to run the installer, but not just by double-clicking it. Nope, I opened up a command prompt as an administrator. I felt like a hacker in a movie, typing away in that black window. I ran the installer from there, and it asked me where I wanted to save the files. I picked a spot, and the download started. It took a bit, but hey, good things come to those who wait, right?
Once the download finished, it was time to install. I followed the on-screen instructions, clicking “Next” a bunch of times. Honestly, it’s pretty straightforward. You just need to know that sometimes it asks for additional components like some C++ package. I remember seeing it when I was doing the installation. I made sure to install that, as well. I had heard from somewhere that it is safe and comes from Microsoft, so I didn’t worry too much about it. I just clicked “Install” and waited again. And let me tell you, the anticipation was real!
The Outcome
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, it was done! Visual Studio 2015 was installed on my computer. I opened it up, and boom, there it was. Ready for me to start my projects. It felt good to have it all set up. I did some testing with some code from an old project I had lying around, and it worked like a charm.
