Then there’s the big companies, like that “Puma” place, they make Sonic shoes too. Heard they teamed up with Sonic, made some shoes that are s’posed to be real fast-lookin’. They got that fancy name, “R-S-X” or somethin’, and they got gold rings on ’em too. Must cost a pretty penny, those ones. But if you wanna run like Sonic, maybe you gotta spend the money, huh?
I seen pictures of them shoes, some folks even made shoes that look just like the ones in the Sonic movie. The Shoe Surgeon, that’s what they call him, he made a pair with Puma. Imagine that! Someone makin’ shoes just like a movie star wears, only it’s a hedgehog movie star. They even used real leather, real fancy stuff.
Why all the fuss about Sonic shoes? Well, I figure it’s ’cause folks like Sonic. He’s fast, he’s cool, he’s always savin’ the day. And kids, they wanna be like him. They wanna run fast, be heroes, and maybe wearin’ the same shoes makes ’em feel a little bit closer to that. It’s like when I was young, we all wanted Roy Rogers’ boots, you know? Same kinda thing, I guess.
