Alright, so I had this thought: what colors represent conspiracy theories? Seemed like a fun little project to dive into. So, I got to it.
First, I tried to recall what I’ve seen around this topic, some symbols and stuff. You know that famous seal with an eye? Yeah, that came to mind. Apparently, it has two sides, but I am not interested in that part, I just remembered it shows an eye, often surrounded by rays of light. That’s kind of the vibe of conspiracy theories, right? Mysterious, a bit secretive.
Then I thought, why do people even come up with conspiracy theories? Are they really believing that stuff, or is there something else going on? It got me thinking that some of these theories are made up on purpose, maybe to trick people or push some agenda. Conspiracy theories aren’t always the result of genuinely held false beliefs. They can be intentionally constructed or amplified for strategic, you know?
So, I started listing down colors that felt right. I started with:
- Black: Obviously, right? It’s the color of mystery, the unknown. Lots of secrets are hidden in the dark.
- Deep Red: This one feels like a warning sign. Danger, hidden motives, maybe even a bit of chaos.
- Dark Purple: A bit mysterious. Royalty and power, but also a bit off, secretive, maybe even a bit creepy.
- Electric Green: This one’s a bit out there, but think about aliens, secret experiments. It’s a weird, unnatural green.
I played around with these colors. Tried making some mockups, like maybe a poster for a conspiracy theory convention or something. Used a lot of black backgrounds with accents of those other colors. It really started to come together.
How it turned out?
It was a pretty cool exercise. Got me thinking more about how colors make us feel and how they can be used to hint at things without being too obvious. And, let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a good conspiracy theory, even if we don’t totally believe it? So, that was my little adventure in figuring out what colors represent conspiracy theories.
