Oh, honey, you won’t believe what I saw the other day! These new shoes, they call ’em pink Vomero. Pink, can you imagine? Like a piglet’s belly. And they got this name, Nike Zoom Vomero 5, sounds like some kinda space machine. My old bones ain’t what they used to be, but I sure do like a good shoe.

Now, these pink Vomero, they say they’re for running. Running! I haven’t run since I was a girl, chasing chickens ’round the yard. But these shoes, they look like they could make an old lady like me fly. They say it’s got some special stuff in it, this Nike Zoom, that makes you feel like you’re walkin’ on clouds. My feet, they ache somethin’ awful, so maybe these cloud shoes are just what the doctor ordered.
And the color! Like I said, pink. Not just any pink, mind you. They call it “Elemental Pink”. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Like somethin’ a queen would wear. Well, maybe not a queen, but a girl can dream. I saw some young’uns wearin’ ’em, and they looked like they were struttin’ on sunshine. They are like this other pink ones called “Photon Dust Pink Foam”, I don’t know what it means but it sounds pretty, maybe it makes your feet glow or something, who knows.

- They say they’re comfortable, like walkin’ on clouds.
- They cost a pretty penny, but maybe they’re worth it.
- I saw ’em online, they call it “*”. Sounds like a movie.
I hear these pink Vomero, they ain’t cheap. They say they cost $160. That’s a lot of eggs, I tell ya. But they also say they’re gonna be out in Spring 2025. That’s a long time, but these shoes, they got me thinkin’ it might be worth the wait. I also heard that these are better for walking long distance, that’s good for me, my old self can’t run no more, but I sure can walk, and it would be nice to do it without my feet hurtin’
Zoom Vomero Shoes
They got all kinds of these Zoom Vomero shoes, not just pink. But that pink, it just sticks in your head, don’t it? I saw some that were silver, like a shiny dime. But they ain’t got that same sparkle as the pink ones. They say these shoes are good for winter too, because they have this special GORE-TEX fabric, I don’t know what that is, maybe it’s some kind of magic, these young folks have all kinds of strange things these days, but they say it helps keep your feet warm, but that’s another shoe, I like the pink ones, those are the ones for me.
One thing I remember, my old pa used to say, “You get what you pay for.” And these pink Vomero, they seem like they’re worth the price. They say they’re durable, that means they last a long time. My old shoes, they’re fallin’ apart at the seams. Maybe it’s time for this old lady to treat herself to somethin’ nice. This old lady wants to walk on clouds, wants to wear pink, and maybe run after those chickens one more time, maybe not, but the walkin’ would be nice.
They say these pink Vomero are for everyone, not just women. I saw a picture of a man wearin’ ’em, and he looked like he was happy as a clam. I don’t know why they would call these woman’s shoes, anyone can wear pink, I tell you what, my husband, god rest his soul, he would not wear those, he said pink is for girls, but he was from another time, these days anyone wears anything.
Nike Pink Shoes
Nike, that’s the name they keep sayin’. Nike pink shoes. Sounds like a song, don’t it? I remember when I was a girl, we used to sing songs about shoes. Don’t remember the words, but it was somethin’ about dancin’ and havin’ a good time. Maybe these pink Vomero, they’ll make me feel like dancin’ again. And these shoes are good for runnin’, but also for walkin’, which is good. And they say they’re comfortable. Comfort, that’s what I need. My old bones, they need comfort. And pink, well, pink is just a happy color. Makes you feel good, like a warm hug. It’s like a field of flowers, or those flamingos you see in the magazines, pretty and nice to look at.
So, these pink Vomero, they got me thinkin’. Maybe I’ll get myself a pair. Maybe I’ll walk around town, show ’em off. Maybe I’ll even try to run a little. Who knows? These shoes, they make me feel like anything is possible. They are not just shoes, they are, how do the young people say it? “A vibe”, that’s it, they are a vibe, a good one, they make you feel good, and look good, and that’s something everyone wants, right?
One more thing about these , the color is what everyone is talking about, there’s this thing, they say it’s like that dress everyone was talking about, some people see one color, other people see another, it’s because your brain plays tricks on you, it sees what it wants to see. With these shoes, they say it’s the same, your brain decides what color it is, and it’s always pink, that’s what they say.
