I wanted to get a new backpack, specifically an MK bag, so I started my little adventure.

First, I hopped online to check out what’s out there. Turns out, MK bags are way cheaper in the USA than where I am. That’s a good start! I found out that there’s this service that helps you shop from US stores and get stuff shipped to you, so you can grab these bags at a better price. Sounds good, right?
Then, I dug a little deeper to figure out how to tell if an MK bag is the real deal. I learned that they always put their tag on the right side. And there’s this layered tag thing – the bottom should be grey, and the top, white. Plus, you gotta check the text on the front and back of these tags; it should have the brand’s name on it. Makes sense.
- Checked online for MK backpack prices.
- Learned about US prices being cheaper.
- Found a service to shop from US stores.
- Researched how to spot a real MK bag.
- Noted the tag details: right side, grey bottom, white top.
I also wanted to know why these bags are so pricey. I mean, it’s all about what they’re made of, the design, and how they’re put out there for sale. And yeah, if lots of people want something, it’s gonna cost more. MK is known for being all fancy and good quality, so I guess that explains the price tag.
I browsed through loads of online stores. One site had a massive sale, like up to 90% off! They had so many brands, not just MK. Another place was all about MK backpacks, with all these classic and mini designs. They ship to tons of countries, which is cool. I was swimming in options, looking at all these colors and styles, from crossbody bags to totes. Oh man, it was a lot!
Decision Time
Finally, I decided on this one backpack – the Slater Medium Signature Logo Stripe one. It came bundled with a wallet and a purse hook, which was a nice bonus. It had this signature MK brown with a bright red stripe. I thought it looked pretty snazzy. It was a bit of a splurge, but hey, treat yourself, right?

So, that’s my little journey of getting an MK backpack. It was a bit of a process, with all the researching and comparing, but I’m pretty happy with what I ended up with. Now I’ve got a fancy new backpack, and I know a thing or two about spotting the real deal and why they cost what they do.
