Okay, so, I tried something new today, and I just gotta share the whole experience with you guys. I decided to use blue mascara, yeah, that’s right, blue! I’ve always been a plain black mascara kinda person, but I saw this blue one and thought, “Why not?”
First off, I went out and bought this blue mascara from a local store. It was kinda hard to find one that looked decent, not too bright, you know? I wanted something that would make my eyes pop but not scream “look at me, I’m wearing blue mascara!”
So, after I got home, I started with my usual makeup routine. Did my foundation, concealer, the whole shebang. Then came the moment of truth. I took out my eyelash curler and gave my lashes a good curl. I always feel like this step makes a huge difference.
Next, I remembered reading somewhere that using a primer can really help, so I applied a coat of white lash primer. I waited a bit for it to dry, which felt like forever because I was so excited to see the blue.
- Apply lash primer: This was a first for me, but I noticed the blue color looked way more vibrant with it.
- Curl those lashes: I’m telling you, curling makes all the difference.
- Apply the blue mascara: I took my time with this, making sure to coat every lash from root to tip.
The Result
Honestly, I was kinda shocked at how much I liked it! My eyes are brown, and the blue mascara really made them stand out. It wasn’t too over the top, just a subtle hint of color that made my eyes look brighter and, dare I say, more awake. I kept checking myself out in the mirror; I couldn’t help it. I do wish I could add a photo or image here, but I can’t add any. I know, it sucks!
I wore it the whole day, and I even got a few compliments! People were like, “There’s something different about you today,” and I’d just smile and bat my blue lashes. It was kinda fun, like I had a little secret.
So, yeah, that was my blue mascara adventure. I definitely see myself using it again, maybe not every day, but for sure when I want a little something extra. If you’re thinking about trying something new with your makeup, I’d say go for it! You might be surprised at how much you like it. I know I was.
