Okay, so, I recently got my hands on this blue MCM tote bag. It’s really cool, but you know how it is with new stuff, you want to keep it looking fresh for as long as possible. So I thought, why not try my best to protect it and share my whole process here?
Getting Started
First things first, I read through all the care tips that came with the bag. The little booklet says these bags are made to last if you take care of them properly. Also found some tips online. It also mentions not to stuff it with super heavy items, as that could damage the shape. Good to know.
Cleaning Process
Next, the cleaning part. I was a bit nervous about this. I mixed some warm water with a bit of dish soap. I didn’t want anything too harsh. Took a soft cloth, dipped it in the soapy water, and wrung it out really well. Then, I gently wiped down the outside of the bag. I used another clean, damp cloth to wipe off the soap and dried it with a towel. Seemed to work fine, no disasters, thankfully.
Storage Tips
- Now, for storage, they say to keep it in the dust bag it came with.
- I found a spot in my closet that’s away from direct sunlight because I read that sunlight can make the color fade.
- It’s also in a cool, dry place.
Regular Maintenance
I’ve been trying to keep up with regular maintenance. This just means wiping off any dirt or dust I see on it right away. Nothing major, just a quick wipe down now and then. It has one year warranty.
Extra Precautions
One thing I’m super careful about is not letting the bag get wet. The instructions say to avoid that, so I’m really trying my best not to get it stained or anything. I’m using this bag for my everyday stuff, but I’m not overstuffing it. Just want to keep it in good shape, you know?
So far, so good. The bag still looks great, and I’m feeling pretty good about how I’m handling it. Hope this helps anyone who’s trying to take care of their own bags!
