Okay, so I recently got my hands on a Hermes Roulis belt. First, I gotta say, it’s a pretty big deal for me ’cause these things ain’t cheap!
Step one: I started by checking out the inscription inside. I looked for the words “HERMÈS / PARIS / MADE IN FRANCE” on one end. Some folks say it might be in a shiny color to match the buckle, but mine was just pressed into the leather, nice and clear.
- I also looked for the “year stamp” which tells you when it was made. This can be different for each belt.
Step two: I gave it a good sniff. Yeah, I know, sounds weird, but real leather has a special smell, not like plastic or chemicals. This one smelled just like good quality leather should. I also felt the leather itself. It felt really good, soft and strong at the same time. This belt is the real deal!
Step three: I checked out the stitching. Now, I’ve heard that Hermes does everything by hand, so the stitching should be super neat. I looked closely, and it was perfect. Every stitch was in line, no loose threads, just perfect.
Final step: I also noticed that the text engraved on the inside of the belt. The text on my belt was just right, not too thick or anything. Someone told me that on fake models, these inscriptions and the stitches are often thicker than the original.
Wrapping it up:
After all that, I’m pretty confident that my Hermes Roulis belt is the real deal. It passed all the tests I threw at it. It looks good, feels good, and smells good. I’m really happy with my purchase.
Just remember, if you’re ever dropping some serious cash on a Hermes belt, take your time to check it out properly. Look at the logo, the leather, the stitching, and those serial numbers. It’s better to be safe than sorry, especially when you’re spending a lot of money.
