Okay, so, let me tell you about this crazy watch I stumbled upon – the Jacob & Co. Astronomia. I saw some ads about it and got hooked immediately, since I’m a big fan of watches. I gotta say, I was pretty excited to do some digging.

First thing I did was hit up Google. I typed in “Jacob & Co. Astronomia” and, boy, did I get a ton of results! There were a bunch of online stores selling them, like Exquisite Timepieces and Chrono24. I even found some information directly from the Jacob & Co. website.
- Started off by just browsing through the different models. There’s the Astronomia Solar, the Astronomia Sky, and a whole bunch more. Each one is crazier than the last! I mean, these things have like, miniature solar systems and star charts inside them. It is so cool!
- I spent hours just looking at pictures and reading descriptions. The Solar Zodiac model, for example, has the 12 zodiac signs on the dial, and it spins around every 10 minutes. Plus, it’s got these colorful gemstones that are apparently “Jacob-cut”. I don’t even know what that means, but it sounds fancy.
- Then there’s the Astronomia Sky, which is like, a tribute to space. It has this rotating movement thing, a star chart, and a tiny Earth. That one really blew my mind!
After I got a good look at the different models, I started looking at prices. Let me tell you, these watches are not cheap. We’re talking hundreds of thousands of dollars! The cheapest one I saw was around $320,000, and they went up to like, $780,000 or even more! I read somewhere that they use premium materials, and they have high-end finishes. It makes sense when you look at them, honestly. They are like pieces of art.
I also tried to find some deals, because, who doesn’t like a good deal, right? I searched for used ones on those marketplace sites. Some places even offered financing, which, I guess is helpful when you’re buying a watch that costs as much as a house.
I found out that some of the models are limited editions. Like, there’s this one called the Astronomia Tourbillon Typhoon that only has 18 pieces made, and it’s going for $600,000. And there is another called the Jacob & co Astronomia Tourbillon Art Static 4 Skulls, there are only 6 of them, with a price tag of USD 660,000.
Honestly, these watches are insane. I spent a whole day just researching them, and I still feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface. They are amazing pieces of engineering and art. I will definitely continue checking them out, maybe I will start saving money!
