Got a pair of those white and blue 6 rings the other day, really love the style, but man, keeping them clean is a pain in the butt. So I did some digging around and tried a few things out myself. Wanna share my little experiment with y’all.
First off, I grabbed a soft cloth, some warm water, and a shoe cleaning solution I found online. If you don’t have one of those, no worries, you can just mix some water with a bit of baking soda or washing powder. That works too, I tried it.
- Step 1: Get everything ready. I laid out an old towel on my table so I wouldn’t mess up the surface. Then I placed my 6 rings on it, along with the cloth, water, and cleaning solution.
- Step 2: I dipped the cloth into the warm water and squeezed out the excess. Then I put a small amount of the cleaning solution onto the cloth.
- Step 3: Now, the tricky part. I started to gently rub the shoes with the cloth. I made sure to go in a circular motion, just like they said online. This helps to lift the dirt without being too harsh on the material.
- Step 4: For those stubborn spots, I used a bit more pressure, but still gentle, you know? And for the really small areas, I used an old toothbrush. It worked wonders.
- Step 5: After I was done with all the scrubbing, I used another clean, damp cloth to wipe off any remaining cleaning solution.
- Step 6: Lastly, I let the shoes air-dry. Don’t put them in the dryer or under direct sunlight. Just let them sit somewhere at room temperature. It took a while, but patience is key here.
I gotta say, the result was pretty good. My 6 rings looked much cleaner afterward. It’s not like brand new, but definitely a huge improvement. This method is pretty safe for the shoes, no damage or anything.
So, if you have a pair of these shoes and you’re wondering how to keep them looking fresh, give this method a try. It’s simple, cheap, and it works. Plus, you probably already have most of the stuff at home.
Next time, I might try using some of those shoe protector sprays. Heard they can help prevent dirt and stains. We’ll see how that goes. I’ll keep y’all updated!
