Alright, let’s gab about them Jaden Smith shoes, ya hear? Now, I ain’t no fancy shoe expert or nothin’, but I can tell ya what I see and what I think. Don’t expect no big words from me, I just call it like it is.

So, this Jaden fella, he’s got these shoes, right? Jaden Smith shoes, they call ’em. Folks seem to be makin’ a fuss over ’em, so I figured I’d take a gander myself. First off, they say these shoes are all about bein’ “vegan.” Now, I ain’t got nothin’ against them vegans, bless their hearts, but I didn’t even know shoes could be vegan. Means they ain’t made with no animal stuff, I reckon. No leather, no nothin’ from cows or pigs or whatever. That’s what I hear, anyways.
These shoes, they ain’t like the ones I used to wear, that’s for sure. They look kinda… different. Sort of clunky, but in a stylish way, I guess? They got these thick soles, like you could stomp on a rock and not even feel it. My old work boots were tough, but these, these look like they’re from the future or somethin’. They come in all sorts of colors too, not just plain old brown or black. I saw some bright pink ones, some blue ones, even some with crazy patterns. Young folks these days, they like their bright colors, don’t they?
- They’re comfy, so they say
- They’re made with recycled stuff, which is nice, I suppose.
- And they look different, real different.
Now, what makes these Jaden Smith sneakers special, besides bein’ vegan and all? Well, they say they’re made with recycled materials. That means they use old stuff to make new shoes. Like, plastic bottles and old rubber and such. Now, I ain’t one for throwin’ things away, so I can appreciate that. Wastin’ ain’t good, my mama always said. If these shoes help keep the trash down, well then, good on ’em, I say.
They call some of ’em the “Vision Racer ReWorked.” Sounds fancy, don’t it? But it just means they took old shoes and made ’em into new ones, near as I can tell. They teamed up with this company, “New Balance,” to make ’em. I heard of them New Balance folks before; they make good shoes, or so I’m told. These Jaden Smith ones, though, they’re a whole different breed.
Folks are wearin’ these sneakers everywhere, seems like. To the store, to school, even to them fancy restaurants in the city. I don’t know if I’d wear ’em to church, mind you, but then again, I ain’t been to church in years. They’re sporty, but also kinda stylish, like I said. You can wear ’em with jeans, with shorts, maybe even with a dress if you’re feelin’ sassy. I seen a gal do that once, and she looked right as rain.

But here’s the thing, these Jaden Smith footwear ain’t cheap. No sirree. They cost a pretty penny, from what I hear. Now, I ain’t one to spend a lot of money on clothes, especially not on shoes. I’d rather buy a good, sturdy pair of work boots that’ll last me a long time. But these young folks, they don’t mind spendin’ their money on these fancy sneakers. To each their own, I guess. If it makes ’em happy, then who am I to judge?
I reckon these shoes are popular because Jaden Smith himself is popular. He’s a singer, an actor, and all sorts of other things. The young folks, they like him, and they wanna be like him. So, they buy his shoes. It’s like when I was young, everyone wanted them Elvis Presley records. Same kinda thing, just different stuff. And also the fact that they are tryin’ to be good to the earth and not waste stuff. Like I said before, my mama always said wastin’ ain’t good.
So, what’s the bottom line on these Jaden Smith designed shoes? Well, they’re different, they’re comfy, they’re made with recycled stuff, and they’re expensive. If you got the money and you like the way they look, then go for it, I say. But if you’re like me and you’d rather spend your money on something more practical, well, then you ain’t missin’ much. They’re just shoes, after all. They ain’t gonna change the world or nothin’. But maybe, just maybe, they’ll help keep a little bit of trash outta the landfills, and that ain’t a bad thing at all. And if they make these young folks happy, well, then that’s good enough for me.
At the end of the day, shoes are shoes. You put ’em on your feet, and you walk around. Whether they’re fancy or plain, cheap or expensive, vegan or not, it don’t really matter all that much. What matters is that they fit your feet and they keep ’em comfortable. And maybe, just maybe, they make you feel a little bit good about yourself. If these Jaden Smith shoes do all that, then I reckon they’re worth somethin’.
