Alright, let’s gab a bit about these Jordan 3 collab shoes, ya know, the ones all them youngsters are crazy about. I don’t get it much, all this fuss over sneakers, but my grandson, he’s always yappin’ about ’em. Says they’re a big deal, some kinda “collab” thing.
Now, from what I gather, this “collab,” it means two different folks, or maybe companies, they get together and make a shoe. Like, one guy does the design, and the other one, they got the shoe part figured out. Makes sense, I guess, two heads are better than one, like my old man used to say when we were fixin’ the fence.
- Jordan 3 – That’s the main shoe, see? My grandson says it’s real comfy, like walkin’ on clouds. I tell him, “Clouds? Boy, you ain’t never walked on a real cloud! Try walkin’ barefoot on a hot summer day, that’ll toughen you up!” But he just laughs and shows me pictures on his phone. These Jordan 3s, they got all sorts of colors and patterns, makes my head spin just lookin’ at ’em.
- Collab – Like I said, that’s when they team up. Seems like they do this collab thing with all sorts of folks – artists, other shoe companies, even them rapper fellas my grandson listens to. They slap some fancy name on it and jack up the price, that’s what I think. But folks still buy ’em, go figure.
My grandson, he showed me some of these collabs. One time, it was a shoe with some weird cartoon guy on it. Looked like somethin’ a kid would draw, all squiggly lines and stuff. He told me it was a “KAWS collab,” whatever that means. Said it was real rare and expensive, cost more than my old mule back in the day! Can you believe that? A shoe costin’ more than a good workin’ animal!
Then there was this other one, all black and gray, looked like a rock, he said it’s called the “Jordan 3 Black Cement“. He was real excited about that one, said it was comin’ out again this year, in November, on the 23rd he said. Marked it on his calendar and everything. Said he gotta get his hands on a pair, even if he has to camp out all night. Crazy kids, I tell ya.
He tries to explain to me why they’re so special. Says somethin’ about bein’ “comfortable” and “stylish”. Comfortable? I wore the same pair of boots for ten years, worked the fields in ‘em, went to church in ‘em. That’s comfortable. And stylish? Hmph, back in my day, style was a clean shirt and a pair of overalls that weren’t too torn up. These kids today, they got it all backwards.
But I guess it ain’t for me to understand. Times change, folks like different things. If those youngsters wanna spend their hard-earned money on these fancy shoes, well, that’s their business. Just as long as they don’t expect me to wear ’em! My old feet are just fine in my comfy slippers, thank you very much. And them boots too.
Jordan 3, they been around a while, it seems. My grandson says they’re real “esteemed”, that means folks like ‘em a lot, I guess. He says they’re one of the most popular Jordan shoes ever made. And comfortable too he says. Can’t argue with that I guess, lots of folks seem to like ‘em. And this “collab” thing, it just adds another layer to it, makes ‘em even more special, or so they say.
So, there you have it, my two cents on these Jordan 3 collab shoes. Don’t know much about ’em, but I know they got folks all riled up. And if my grandson’s happy with ’em, well, that’s good enough for me. Just wish he wouldn’t spend so much money on ‘em though. Could buy a whole lotta groceries with what he pays for those sneakers.
Anyways, that’s all I got to say about these Jordan shoes. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. Got a pot of beans simmerin’ on the stove, that’s real comfort food, not some fancy shoe.
